If you have an awesome voice, and ever thought about singing for a career in the Army, Yes...the Army. The Army is looking for a female Pop Singer Vocalist. Starting Salary Pay is $39,500 to $44,700.

So if you think you have some pipes....hit me up. NOTE: If you do not make your Audition, you still are not in the Army. Which means you can walk away and practice for another audition.

Wow that's a great opportunity. 🙂

I just got off the phone with them, This unit is Based out of DC. So yes the Army will move you.

Furthermore:You will attend Basic Training, but NOT AIT. You will enter the ARMY as a SPC/E4 then upon finishing Basic, Three months afterward, you will be advanced to E6/Staff Sergeant with no Basic Non-commissioned Officer School Requirement.

1: you will need to turn in a Packet to them along with a tape of your song.

2: Upon getting a letter from them stating yeah or Nay, you will then come see me.

3: I will then get a physical at MEPPS, and back ground check.

4: They will then set up a LIVE AUDITION with you in D.C.

NNote: Basic Training For Band Members and singers is a little different for you guys.

I see the viewing numbers going up, but dont hear my phone.

I guess we have some singers out there not really sure of themselves.

Ok...so if joining the ARMY and Singing Full time is an Issue, what is the difference from being Civilian and singing?

Joining:
Benefits: Free Medical (Even for Family)
Free Dental
Free Optical
FREE Housing with no utility bills

30 DAYS PAID LEAVE a year (@ 2.5 days a month)

Free Travel (While not on tour.)

You are Advanced to the pay grade of E6/Staff Sergeant as soon as completion of Basic Training. (8 weeks) You cant beat that. It takes 8 to 10 years for the normal soldier to get to that Rank.

100% paid Tuition
GI Bill, and College Fund.

While on tour, your gigs will take you World Wide

Most of all, you wear a uniform, perform in Football stadiums, Hockey Games, The White House, Pentigon, for UN Ambassadors and other Big Name people. And you're worried about your Employer?? You aren't seeing the complete picture. Obviously.

As a performer, you are not going to fight in Iraq. Think about it, You are doing Basic Training which teaches you the basics about the ARMY. You aren't doing the AIT portion of it. And then on top of that, what are you going to do in IRAQ? Sing your Enemy to death? Give me a Break.

Look past the cloud and give me a call if you want clarification. For $39,000 plus awesome benefits, you need to ask yourself this, are you getting that right now? Plus the recognition? Are you singing in Presidential Parties? Lets put it this way, if you're here in the Tristate Area, and posting here, I would think not.

Hummmmmmmmm.

Civilian Side: Your Gig is set by you or your Manager.

Your Manager gets a cut of what you make

You are getting a percentage of the house

Your Crowd is the Average Guy.

Your Crowd is limited to the size of the Bar or Club.

Benefits? (Need I say more on that one?)

Your gigs will take you to maybe four major cities that play your type of music.

Should I keep going with this?

All the same benefits, but you are a performer in the ARMY performing as a SINGER in a Band.

Malls and Local High Schools dont put out Professional Singers. Though it is open for them, I'm looking for someone who already knows how to sing.

You know, its amazing how so many misconstrued this JOB offer with current events or their Personal Agenda.

This is a VALID position. Even more, you will be on Tour just like any other Band (Civilian).

A Set salary with Benefits that cannot be beaten by any Civilian Corperation.

You will be based out of FT Meade, Maryland. Living on or off Post. Your Choice.
If you aren't up to date to pay, I'll enlighten you:

Now lets take a gander at $$$$ and see if it compares to what you are making now. NOTE: I will provide all facts and research links for you to research yourself. So to show that there is no "CLOUD" or "SMOKE".

Per current Pay Rate of E6/SSG http://www.dfas.mil/money/milpay/

Monthly Base Pay E6/SSG $1,920.30
BAH for FT Meade (Basic Allowance for Housing) The Army pays you to live off post. $1,552.00
SEPRATS: The Army Pays you to purchase food: $267.18
TDY Per Deim. (Because you will be on tour, the Army will pay you on a daily bases Temporary Duty per daily.) $290

Seperation Pay: The Army pays you for being away from your family for more than 30 days: $250.00

So lets do the Math:
1920.30 x 12months= $23,043.60
Plus BAH x 12Months=$18,624.00
Plus SEPRATS x 12 = $3,206.16
Plus Seperation x 12= $3,000.00
Plus TDY x 12 = $3,480
TOTAL Annual Pay: $51,353.76

Now keep in mind Benefits are included. I.e. Free Medical, Dental and Optical and others.

8 weeks of Basic is all you have to complete. NO AIT, YOU ARE NOT A COMBATANT. YOU ARE A PERFORMER. When was the last time you Sang or Played an instrument in a Foot Ball Stadium or at the White House?

Oh and this Job is Guarunteed. Even if you fail the Audition, you're still a Civilian and can go about your own way.
