There was once this beautiful girl
She had hopes and dreams
For all the fantasy things in the world
And everything in between
She had dreams to be a dancer
But soon she learned that dreams were make believe
Instead she did what was expected of her
And nothing was what it seemed to be
She met a man who gave her stability
Took her 7 years to see that he never really knew her
To him she was his responsibility
She made a decision one that will impact her
She became alive again
She was having fun and life was sweet
That's when her restlessness began
Everything was like a treat
Then she met Bill and her world stood still
He walked into her life and her loneliness had subsided
And all her doubts were killed
There was no way neither of them could fight it
But as swiftly as he came
He went away and left her crying on the floor
Nothing was ever the same
But true to herself she was finally able to close that door
Men have come and gone after that crime
But no one was ever able to capture her light
To her no one was ever worth the time
She left behind all those illusions behind and for her that was right
Now a few years older she is no longer running
She has finally found out what she needs in her life
She knows there's much more to this world that keeps turning
More than just being someone's wife
Finally I found the secret to knowing that Heaven exists
Its thru the friends that love you and the ones you hold dear to your heart
I couldn't ask for anything more but this
