WHERE IS ALISHA????!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE SHE IS OR WHAT HAPPENED TO HER??? ANY INFO ON HER SUCH AS AGE, RACE OR IF SHE IS STILL PERFORMING?? THANKS!!
 
Don't know how much of this you already know, so here it goes:

Alisha was signed to Vanguard records in the early 80's. They had her record an album after the big success of her first single, "All night Passion". This debut album became a club success, with 3 more hits, "Too Turned On", "Baby Talk" and "Stargazing".

In 1987, Alisha was signed to RCA Records. Her album for them is called "Nightwalkin'" and two singles were released. "Do You Dream About Me" (from the Mannequin soundtrack) and "Into My Secret". Overall, the album had a more "rock" sound and the songs were not as successfull as her first album.

In 1990, Alisha signed to MCA Records. Her album for them was called "Bounce Back" and had two minor hits, "Wrong Number" and "Bounce Back" both of which were previously recored by an act called Fire On Blonde. Both singles made the lower half of the Hot 100, but dance radio/clubs didn't support the singles, because they had been hits for Fire On Blonde just a few years earlier.

In 1996, Alisha was on Critique Records with a single called "Wherever The Rhythm Takes Me". The single (a house/euro track) received little or no airplay, and as a result, no other singles or albums followed.

Alisha's last song was from the movie "Superstar" and the song was called "You wanna be a star". You can hear a 30 second clip of it if you go to amazon.com and do a search on Alisha.

Alisha was about the age of 16 when her first album came out, so I would guess she's in her early to mid thirtys now.
 
Well Alisha grew up in my neighborhood and went to my junior high and high school. I know for sure that she is white, but Im not sure of her exact age...she must be in her mid 30's by now. (I think she graduated from my high school in 1985).
I saw her perform at the first KTU Beatstock.

I know that she was living in Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn when I met this kid back in 1996. My boy used to deliver the paper to her front door and she was his customer. I always wanted to go to her front door and talk to her, just to hold a decent conversation with her. I was 19 at the time. I have all her material. She must look good now.
 
Hey carlito! You should have went to her door and spoken to her. I don't know what she would look like i know how she looked on her 1st album. You say you have all her material, how are her other albums???

IT'S CRAZY HOW SOME OF THE ARTISTS WE LOVE JUST DISAPPEAR AND WE NEVER HEAR FROM THEM AGAIN. THE OTHER DAY I HEARD "TOO TURNED ON" ON THE RADIO AND THAT'S WHEN I REALIZED THAT SHE REALLY HAD A GOOD VOICE. I THINK THAT SONG DID HER JUSTICE IN SHOWING OFF HER VOICE AND HOW TALENTED SHE WAS....
 
Do you guys remember her song called "Into My Secret"? Thats a great song! And I have "Wrong Number' on a cassette single.

I DON'T KNOW ANY OF HER OTHER SONGS BESIDES "TOO TURNED ON", "BABY TALk", "ALL NIGHT PASSION" AND "SUPERSTAR". I KNOW THEY ARE SELLING HER "NIGHTWALKIN" CD ON DJANGOS.COM AND IT'S USED BUT I WANT TO KNOW IF IT'S WORTH IT...

"Into My Secret" great song, got the 12".
Never heard Alisha's version of "Wrong Number", got the Fire On Blonde 12" tho.

Well, "Wrong Number" isnt a bad song but I like "Into My Secret" much better!
