First of all I want to thank all the cf members for supporting Alex and I at our freestyle parties. But we will no longer be doing Freestyle parties. This will be my last post on this site. This is not because Johnny O the so called man of God. It's because at this point it is not a profitable venue for us. We will be fine without doing this type of venue. We have always wanted to move on to other types of music. I don't have to keep explaining my side, because everyone that knows me - knows that I am not the kind of person he discribes. My family and friends see this kind of nonsense and say Johnny is bugging out. I have God on my side, and if he is truly a man of God - he would not meliciously tried to hurt Alex and I. Even though we have lost financially about sixty thousand dollars. We take it like champs and move on. This clearly tells us this is not the type of venue to be involved with. But because some of the nonsense this is the reason freestyle is dying. I understand now why Sal cancelled his last freestyle event. Alex and I were trying to keep the freestyle music alive, but again all our time and effort at the end of the day who really appreciates it.

My sister Safire for all your support, but you really know how this business is. I understand now why your retiring from this kind of venue. I love you. This will not hold us back, you will do well in what ever kind of music you decide to do.

FIRST AND FOREMOST I WOULD LIKE TO SAY HOW GRATEFUL I AM FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR FREESTYLE BY PUTTING THESE FREESTYLE SHOWS TOGETHER FOR US I KNOW AT EACH AND EVERY EVENT I HAVE HAD A GREAT TIME AND I DEFFINITLY UNDERSTAND YOUR CHOICE TO MOVE ON AND I STAND BEHIND YOU GUYS ASIDE FROM THE SOME OF THE THINGS SAID ABUOT LAST NIGHT IT WAS A GREAT SHOW AND I RESPECT ANGEL AND HIS CREW FOR STICKING IT OUT THIS LOST CHANCING IT EVERY TIME THEY PUT A SHOW TOGETHER. All I have to say is that everytime I have done a show with you Angel I have never been dissapointed.

Thank you for the induction to your family as you and your sister are to me. Maybe it's time for everybody to move on. this is the exact reason this will never be the same as before. I love my freestyle music and always will and will always support the old school and the up and coming freestyle artists, but I don't blame you guys for wanting to move on. I was not there while this whole conversation took place therefore I will not sit here and post about what you should do or say.

Although I can't speak for the other artists that you have put up on that stage but I know how you've always been with me and for that, you and Alex will always have my support.

I know you both and hate to see it come to this.

Thank you so very much for your efforts in trying to keep freestyle alive in NYC.
 
I'm very sad to see this happen! I had a wonderful time last night at the show. It was definitely worth the airfare and the hotel!

Angel! Good luck in whatever it is that you and Alex choose to move on to! You guys put on a fantastic show last night. 🙂
 
ummmm...i tried to pm u but ur box was full...i just wanted to say keep up the good work through all this bs...but i guess its to late for that now...i completely understand ur choice...i wish u luck...and i hope in time you would consider to once again embrace the freestyle genre :hearton

it is a sad day jack...however it is a wake up call!!! we now see what the TRUE STATE of freestyle music is!!! now us fans need to think of a way to stop this downward sprial...soon freestyle will just be a very sad memory from a long time ago 🙁

as for you angel....i wish you much success...u brought many great freestyle venues and hope that watever u pursue has the quality that you brought to the freestyle venues....although it is an unfortunate event...lets see if this is a wake up cal like toni said....or will this be another nail in the freestyle music coffin?

I am shocked to have learned that all this went on in a couple days.

The truth is, Freestyle will never be the same, -as with Disco & other genre's, ...but we can still support the artists that were a part of Freestyle in whatever they choose to do, (other music, acting, etc.)

I wish Angel & company the best, & It is sad to see this happen, ...but it's the truth.
No matter how pretty we paint the picture, ...this music's scene is not the same it used to be. ...It's not 1986-91 anymore.

(Though I wish it was).

I am a "psycho-fan" of my Freestyle artists, & will always support whatever they do (Salsa, House/Dance, Movies, etc.)

But the memories their music brings will last me a lifetime. (Especially from the mid 80's - early 90's).

In the end in was a great Show. Alot of performers came and did what they did best and what they loved. And honestly it is still a business. And the two dont mix, a profit must be made somewhere. Best of Luck and thanks for sharing some Love. Its funny with the Holiday today and all weekend the radio kept playing freestyle and I kept saying "Ooh they were there, she was ther, he was there at Bliss too" It was so great seeing these acts that I haven't seen in years because I too listen and work with other forms of dance but always treasure and support freestyle. I told Sam Savon last night Its been 10 yrs since I last saw you perform and again you don't have a promo pic for me...... LOL Needless to say the goodhearted man he is will send me my pics but that is not my point. What I am trying to say, I made this statement now 10 years later...... So as long as freestyle hasn't died for me and Im sure it hasnt for this board either it will always be here, hell this music is about love and regardless of what went on last night. There were professionals, entertainers who did take the stage and sang from thier hearts. I felt it coming across from the mics thru the mid ranges to the floor. So for that I thank you guys. Wonderful show wonderful acts a wonderful night. Good Luck and much love. And for those who want to keep freestyle alive show the love go to the shows, make the music, keep it good even if it changes with the times its still about love. Plus hound the stations too.

It is such a shame that something so bad had to come out of something so good...Alex and Angel: I wish you the BEST of luck in your future projects, and if this was truly you last dance with the freestyle genre, then you went out with a BANG! I will, however, continue to hold on to the hope that sometime down the road, you'll return home. Good luck and God bless

Well Angel, at the end of the day I appreciate it. I love freestyle music dearly and appreciate everything you've done for it! It am very disappointed to hear that you have decided to leave, however I truly understand your point. I wish you all the luck and happiness in the world with all your future projects.

It's a shame you guys are not going to continue doing freestyle parties but it's also completely understandable. No one in their right mind would want to continue to invest time and money on something that will not bring profit, only debt. I wish you and Alex the best of luck on all your future projects. I am truly thankful for the shows you have put together in the past and for all the effort you have put into keeping freestyle alive.You guys need to do what is in your best interest and keep pushing forward. I never had the pleasure of meeting you but from the little contact I have had with you, I can see that you are one of a kind. I was able to meet Alex and speak with him a few times when he delivered my tickets and he is also another great person. You both have given it your all. I wish you both the best of luck, success and happiness always.

OMG JUST STOP ITTT.......FREESTYLE IS NOT OVER. WE WONT LET IT BE OVER...NOW I DONT KNO WHAT WENT DOWN BETWEEN JOHNNY O AND ALEX/ANGEL.. IF FREESTYLE DIES ITS BC THE ARTIST ARE LETTING GO OF WHAT THEY DO BEST.. WHICH IS SAD, BC US FANS ARE STILL HOLDING ON AND WAITING DESPERATELY FOR NEW FREESTYLE MUSIC TO COME OUT.. I KNO ALOT OF MONEY GOES INTO MAKING THESE CDS SETTING UP PARTIES BUT IF NO ONE TAKES THE CHANCE THAN OFFCOURSE FREESTYLE WONT BE THE SAME..
