Does anyone else LOVE this late 80's Freestyle jam??

With bangin' beats, & smooth/haunting vocals, & lyrics like:
"I wanna know, ...If you really need me,
(I Wanna know if u want my love),
I Wanna know, ...will u plan to leave me?
I-I-I wanna, I WANNA KNOW"

In case some don't know, Cuban Alejandra "Ale' " Lorenzo was one of the original members of Expose' from 1984-1986, (group formerly called 'X-Posed'), & is the lead vocalist on Expose's 1985 club-classic "Exposed To Love".
She, along with the original Expose' members (Laurie & Sandee'), did about 90% of the back vocals on the entire debut Expose' album "Exposure".

In my opinon she was one of the "hottest" sexy girls of the group.
I wonder where she's at today? Last I heard she may live in Florida.
Anyone know?
 
IVE ALWAYS THOUGHT ALE HAD ONE OF THE MOST SEXIEST VOICES, BUT I STILL NEVER SAW HER, DO YOU HAVE ANY PICS??
 
I love both of Ale`'s songs, "I Wanna Know" and "Stop Me If I Fall".

Have them both on vinyl, and on my station. Wished she had done more in the music world.
 
So those tunes never came out on CD? Not even on compilations? Yes, she was (is?) smokin'.

thanks for posting this and im sad to say that i never knew this. i knew of the change after the 2nd album and i knew that p.o.n.r. "new mixes" the vocals were redone.

did some reading there on those sites and what an interesting read it was. it prompted me to pull out all my expose 12"s and albums and start comparing tracks, vocals etc.

Yes, this group does have a very long & confusing, yet interesting history.
You can definately hear the difference in the tracks.
I have a rare 'demo-sounding' version of "Come Go With Me" where the vocal arrangements, & music arrangements are VERY different from what we are used to hearing. & The original 1984 version of "Point Of No Return", is a lil' diffrent than the 1985 version (both by the original girls), & then of course we have the re-recorded 1987 version with Jeanette, Gioia, & Ann, - (the more common one).

Hey "B", I spoke to Laurie last week, another original Exposette'...Ale' is living in LA, I haven't spoken to her in years, sweetest of them all!!!! I do miss her!

Yeah, now that I think of it, someone did tell me she was in L.A. somewhere.

Hey "B", a full re-union of the originals will NEVER happen, unfortunately, it was talked about last year though, Laurie is doing great, working on cruise ships...Do a search of Laurie Miller, it will bring you to her site... It was ironic with Ale', I met her right before I started working with Expose', right when they brought the new girls in... Ale' and I dated for a while back then right before she moved out west...One of the classiest ladies I knew...
 
Scott did u forget? - LOL, I have posted links to Laurie's site on CF a bunch of times, & even have her linked to my mentioned webpage dedicated to the 80's divas. 🙂
About Laurie & her cabaret stuff, I think It's pretty neat.
