I planned to run in & out of ALBERTSONS , than just seen a bunch of self-check out machines? I was like WTF??I was confused and planned on never going to ALBERTSONS ever again,A worker recognized me and helped me with the machine, I looked at the other side of the store and seen real cashiers,Hm..... How strange they were so far, were most people walk in the store?????Than I figured what ALBERTSONS was doing, I decided never to use those machines again!!!!!!!It puts people out of work.That is uacceptable, Machines taking over humans???:barf
 
I actually like those, if I am in a rush & don't feel like waiting online.

But they get annoying because the weight everything & if you don't move the bag you can't ring the next item UGH. The 1st time I had to use one out here (AZ) the lead cashier had to come help me LOL.

The Albertson's I shop at has 4 self-checkout, 6 express lanes (with cashiers) & the rest regular lanes. So it is prettty damn convenient for me 🙂
 
some new Stop n Shops in NY and MA have them too- I prefer them that have to wait in line for the cashier-

it's not a big thing- I noticed tho that K mart in NY where I lived had that too- and now they dun even use them at all........
 
I say BOYCOTT all of them!!!!!! If you ever worked in a grocery store or customer sevice, you understand that it takes jobs away from cashiers, baggers, soon the whole store will be runned by machines, not a good idea, when AMERICANS are struggling to find work, like I am.
 
Kmart had them here in PR, but people were too smart for them, they kept stealing anyway so they took them out. Too many people were ringing items for less $$. Some got caught, but the mayority didn't it turned out to be a loss instead so they took them out.

I saw it on the news, people would ring itmes for $9.00 and be taking home DVDs and stuff.

Cant believe the things peeps go thru these days.

That happened to the KMart I worked @ in NY as well, which is why we took them out. Too many dishonest ppl, it's a damn shame
