A Possible New Outlet For Freestyle??

I was listening to Vic Latino's show last night on KTU and he mentioned that there is going to be a new television show called Dance Hits USA, which will be much like Dance Party USA was. It is going to be a NATIONAL TV show. I think they are holding auditions for dancers this week at Club Abyss. But maybeeee, they could get some freestyle artists to perform on the show?? Coud be a great idea, right??

That would be kewl but dance shows not really popular anymore. The only show I can think of that still airs regularly is "Soul Train" none of the "big" artists will perform on there anymore. It also only airs on the weekends @ like 4 in the morning! lol I think dance shows are definitely struggling.

Featuring Freestyle artist on a national show would be great, as far as the show's possible success rate, well that will depend on the demographic they are targeting and the time and where it will air from.

I guess it all remains to be seen. But when I heard about it on KTU, the first thing that came to my mind was the possibility of getting FREESTYLE out in the public eye!! So let's try to be positive and see what happens. I already mentioned the show to Heidee so she can let TKA and George know about it!!

If it's a national show, you can be sure it will be mostly hip-hop/r&b. And you can be DAMN SURE there won't be any freestyle!

I'm with ya too Randi. The only way Freestyle will remain alive is if we the FREESTYLE FANS keep showing the interest and definitely keep the faith. It would be great to see a show like this materialize..to hear/see Freestyle played on a national level to give it a boost. Say a Prayer. 😉

Here is the confession (dig out yo tapes peoples) - I was on Dance Party USA with my brother (he was a regular I was not)when we lived in Bklyn.

I miss those days (and my clothes hehhehe)..

I hope this show does become a potential venue for our Freestyle *crossin fingas*..
