The whole cd was freestyle in my opinion but in every thread they post they mention that they are urban dance and pop artists and they even said in interviews that if they wanted to be pure freestyle group they would be the best of it. FOr your information Brenda k Starr is still releasing new dance songs and i support her. Goias sound is dance kinda freestyle so i support her to. George Lamond does freestyle and spanish so i still support him.

Regardless of what they say now...they did freestyle at one point and people know them for that. Just cuz they wanna call it "urban dance" doesn't mean it's not gonna be any good. *shakin head*

According to the dance record pools urban dance is more rnb and hipsongs that people dance to at clubs.
 
Well, where do I start?
First of all we post to keep our fanbase intouch with Nu Image happenings, because believe or not though most of these site gear to promote Freestyle Music, they do have members that are open to various styles of music.

The reason we do not consider ourselves a freestyle group is because 1 album does not define who and what we are. Pete our double album is not entirely a freestyle sound album, yes we do have freestyle tracks on the album and proud of them but that is not all we are.

Let me ask you a question do you think any less of our music because we do not consider ourself a Freestyle group? We record music because it comes from within us and to this day every song recorded has been written by 1 or all 3 members of Nu Image. We have a unique chemistry I can not explain and we do not want to limit our musical and song writing talent to just 1 classified form of music.

The reason we call ourselves URBAN DANCE RECORDING ARTISTS is because thats what we are . We are 3 Urban Latinos from the inner urban city and some choose to listen to hip hop, some to r&b and some dance. Nu Image is known for dance music and when you really think about it Freestyle is Urban Dance Music. Pete you should know that more than anyone.
TKA,George LaMond,Coro,Judy Torres,Cynthia,Lisa Lisa etc they are all Urban Dance when you think about it. All from the urban streets singing at the time what was a music that evolved from the urban youth for the urban youth.

We are not ashamed of the word freestyle, but we are trying to put our music in the world of mainstream radio and to do that we need to move the direction of the times.
If you respect Nu Image and our music just give it time and you will see our movement is with the best intentions in mind.

Pete just relax, I know where you are coming from there was a time some years back I did not want anything to do with music unless it was freestyle, I mean I listened to all genres of music but only wanted to record freestyle music, I have grown to learn I can fuse the music to work for me, so please Pete try to understand from our point of view.
 
I just want the fans to see from the inside out not only from the outside.
You know whats also funny we have a lot of fans that have said that we have let them down because they didn't see our double album as a freestyle album and they exspected 25 tracks like"TEARS IN MY EYES" but honestly no matter what anyone wants to call it, I think we gave a hell of an album most fans have written us that they can actually listen to the entire 2 disc set back to back without skipping any tracks, I think thats awsome.

One thing i can tell you is that you will never be dissapointed when you come to see a Nu Image show. If you have not seen Nu Image yet be there Nov 27th Backdrafts an all New Nu Image show.
 
Krystal, too bad you won't be there the 27th I will be throwing out 1 of my leather jackets and we will be signing it.
 
It must be hard creating a new genre of music and being a music creator. We
here are a strickly Freestyle music site and do not condone any type of name
changing. I mean you can do as you please we support your music. But not to
disrespect all of the hard work that the legendary Freestyle artists did for all
the fans. They made Freestyle the music we love. We want to carry on the
Freestyle traditon here. Freestyle Music is our music. We should not have to
start over and we should make Freestyle #1 again without abandoning it.

If you cant popularize Freestyle, it will me a million times harder to try to
create this new genre/name or whatever you want to call it. An artists like
you could have really helped the Freestyle gere. I hope one day you will come
home to Freestyle music.

We stay true to Freestyle. But remember we like Tony G music! We will always
be open to your great sound. We do hope you make Freestyle man!!

I still think the majority of your Cd was freestyle but I will debate you about your Urban Dance Name. First of all in the early nine there was a rock group called Urban dance squad who had a rock song i liked. As for calling the old school freestyle Urban dance is total bull cause they where known simply as dance artists or as i hate when they miscalled it house artists. Any way i wish you guys lots of luck and you know i will be at Back Drafts cheering you on.
