I stand alone upon my empty soul
As I think with my clouded mind
I lay down upon my bed
And dream upon frozen thoughts
I wake up and glance at my mate
I tell her I love her
Although my heart stands still
And my feeling I cannot feel
As I speak my lips are speechless
And I see with eyes that have no sight
I fill my mug with coffee
Yet my hand holds no grip
I take a long drink
But I have no taste to the sip
I listen to the beautiful birds outside my window
Though my ears hear no sounds
I walk over to the table
With feet that don't touch the ground
I take a glance at this poem
I notice there's no rhythm
No format of rhyme
I look at the clock on the wall
Its eleven thirty eight
Yet it reads no time
I use the mirror to brush my hair
No reflection is shown
So I realize
I'm really not here
I'm not even alone
I'm a ghost
As I think with my clouded mind
I lay down upon my bed
And dream upon frozen thoughts
I wake up and glance at my mate
I tell her I love her
Although my heart stands still
And my feeling I cannot feel
As I speak my lips are speechless
