personally, if freestyle ever does come to an end, ill have some damn good memories...and not this new skool euro pop sounding garbage...
what actually is happening to freestyle when one confuses nsync to have a song that remotely sounds like freestyle?

rap is the MUSIC part of the culture which has f4 basic elements
mc,bboy,dj,graffiti....the mc of course does the rapping
but ANYWAY to say that hip hop didnt come out to the 90s is LUDACRIS! because its been around for a longgggggggggggggg time b4 that!

I didn't say it came out in the 90, I said it wasn't until then it was called Hiphop. I know that it was always called that. MC Shan "Bridge" it's start "Hiphop it started out int he park". And on the cover of Sugarhill Gang it sez Hiphop, and so on and so forth. But The culture has always been there, nor I diminish it. I just said as it was tittle for awhile, just like Freestyle. Latin hiphop, Club Music, to now title Freestyle, but it will forever be Latin Hiphop. Am I Right?🙄

I am glad that people post opinions here...but it is kind of lame to see a "what do we do?" question everytime someone starts a thread...

I used to come on this site everyday but alas...I can come on here once a month and everbody will still be saying "FREESTYLE has to Change!" "Freestyle has to change!"

OK! Ladies & Gentlemen! We all know it has to change...

But let's get things straight here:

We know that EURO is a NO! NO!

New Wave died with Depeche Mode!
The West Coast will play that cheesy Freestyle that no one else likes, till they die!
Old School is a memory! (BUT IT KEEPS PACKING THE CLUBS HERE IN NYC!!!)
Forget about Techno, House, Hip Hop, RAP, R & B and any thing the radio plays that remotely sounds like Freestyle...


So what is left people???

I sure in hell don't want to see FREESTYLE buried for good...
I will keep on supporting it no matter what anyone posts here and if need be...The last one standing...

Even if I have to grab the mic and do it alone!

Here in San Antonio the older crowd loves the Old Skool naturally. The teens have no idea about half the old skool artist out there. Occasionally you will find a teen knowing some old skool, but it's rare that they like it. I for one can vouch that here in SA they love the new skool.
 
I would love to go to a club that plays freestyle. They don't have freestyle clubs in Chicago. Kinda surprising, considering that Chicago is the 2nd biggest urban city in the country.

If anyone is ever in San Antonio there are at least 5 clubs that play Freestyle. It is like manditory to play that here.

-with the "cheesey" west coast stuff and songs that sound euro-ish??? i love these two kinds of freestyle but people are always saying bad stuff about 'em - what's up?

Maybe if you read the posts you wouldn't ask that "cheesey" question...

Just for the record... I don't hate all of the new jack songs...only those that were done with no heart n' soul...which may account for 85% of what's out there now...

All I am saying is most of us who are fans of Freestyle prefer the OLD instead of the NEW...Many of us don't buy this "New Style" as being Freestyle...All I see is complaints about the NEW but not the OLD...
