Which era in music do you like more? And why? The 80s or 90s?

For me, its deffenatly the 80s.

I grew up listening to NEW EDITION, NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK, DEBBIE GIBSON, MICHAEL JACKSON, JANET JACKSON, MADONNA, WHITNEY HOUSTON, & PRINCE

The 80's was better. The 90's had some good music, I loved some of The grunge stuff, and very little Gangsta rap. The Music of the 80's sounded better because of the times of the two decades. Yes, Gangsta rap with NWA actually began in the late 80's so did the alternative scene with REM. But the 80's was know as being a glam it up, big shine(what we now call bling) era unlike the 90's when it was about staying real and too focus on society(i'll take the 90's over this Bush era 2000 decade). That is why stuff like Grunge and gangsta rap was the sounds of the 90's. But 80's music was better.

So much amazing music came out of the 80's. It just takes me back to happier times!

maybeee 70's after 60's ?? maybe

screw it now that you bought up the topic

you know that the 90's has yet to produce one singer that changed anything. dance

hair style clothing nothing.

not even close to madonna or micheal i find the 90's emberassing for american culture.

sorry but thats me llloll

born in '87 = 90s child

i loved rap / rock in the early mid 90s. weezer, green day, oasis, no doubt. also i remember ace of base, TLC, and various 90s eurodance groups (haddaway & real mccoy LOL). and who can forget spice girls - although their voices sucked there was no girl group like that in the 80s!

90s music brings back memories for me - when i hear freestyle from the 80s there are no fond childhood memories brought back. however if i were given a chance to listen to only 80s or only 90s, i'd choose 80s

ronald reagan use to put pressure on geroge senior. who put pressure on cap wienberger. who put pressure ed meese who put pressure on the d c media.

the 80's from 81 to 88 was the bomb no doubt about it.

The moment reagan kicked out that disgrace jackass carter from the white house.

I Knew We were in for one heak of great ride.

I watched an 80s video last night. It was "LAND OF CONFUSION" by GENESIS (feat Phil Collins) and there was a muppet of RONALD REAGAN in it. COOOl

personally I loved both decades... the 80's introduced to me to freestyle and then in the 90's when I entered highschool, I still enjoyed freestyle but also entered a slight rebel stage and got into rock/metal music.

I'm still hooked on the 80s and 90s, but gotta go with the 90s. I know the 80s had better music but my best memories of music are in the 90s.

I say the 80s...

1) Cause of the music (Culture Club..Wham w/ George Michael..Bananarama...Falco)
2) Cause BreakDancing was born
3) Cause of the great movies (I'm in the process of collecting 80s movies on DVD)
4) Madonna (ANYTHING that she did was dope...expecially the pepsi comercial..I bet ya'll 4got that one)
5) Michael Jackson (Thriller was the shizznit..and BAD. Plus BOTH videos was made like a movie)
6) FREESTYLE Music
7) My youth
8) My Mother was still alive (I wish she still was)
9) No Crack Cocaine
10) ppl in the 80s used FISTS instead of GUNS (ppl nowadays are quick to shoot ppl than fight it out...Tell me I'm wrong)

These are my TOP TEN Reasons why I love the 80s sooooo much
