What do you guys think of this??

ex. Intonation "Died in your Arms"
Pure Pleazure" Nothings going to change"
Rockell, Collage.....

Can you name some more...? Is there a lot available?

Are you looking for just 80s songs that were converted to Freestyle overall...or are you looking for songs that actually still sounded good once they were converted to Freestyle? Because i know there were many of the former...but not too many of the latter...

here are some off the top of my head....not sure if i have ALL the artists right....
joe zangie - true faith
michael christopher - your love
miguel reyes - just once
pain - sara
collage - last christmas
collage - the search is over
collage - love of a lifetime
intonation - no one like you
jay jay - careless whisper
orlando - the promise
soundview f/ phillip anthony - all out of love
for the most part i like when a freestyle artist remakes an old 80s song, but honestly a lot of the remakes do sound kinda cheesy. and some remakes (like miguel reyes-just once) are really horrible and often sound like some twisted freestyle karaoke.

Ha aimee!

For a second there, I thought you were posting songs that you like. I was about to say...

What year was the original of "We Just Disagree" made? The song remade by Rockell.

Yeah freestyle freak 4 Cynthia's "How I love him" is an oldy its from the "Romeo & Juliet" series.
Cynthia also had a nother remake in her second album "CYNTHIA2" But it wasnt freestyle it was a ballad. It was called "Breakup to makeup" which was originally sung btythe "Stylistics". Does anyone agree?

i agree!!! i liked cynthia's version of that song!!! its a great song either way though

rockell - cant we try

rockell - dreamboy/dreamgirl (i like both versions but wouldnt cynthia & johnny o's vocals be hot over rockell & collage's beat!)

rockell - the dance (country gone freestyle!)

collage - love a lifetime (terrible! - has anybody else noticed that his vocals r ok as long as rockell is singin with him but he cant sing worth a damn on his own!!!)

corina - summertime summertime

sweet sensation - love child

the cover girls - wishing on a star

the cover girls - i need your lovin'

there have also been some artists who have borrowed from freestyle as well:

junior mafia & aaliyah - i need you tonight
(i wonder if i take you home - lisa lisa & full force)

lil' jon & lathun - play at your own risk
(play at your own risk - planet patrol)

allure & 112 - all cried out
(all cried out - lisa lisa & full force - once again!)

mariah carey - i still believe
(i still believe - brenda k. starr)

jennifer lopez - feelin' so good
(set it off - strafe')

and tha countless artists who have sampled "planet rock"!

countless...

is for damn sure!

People mentioned all the songs I was going to mention already 🙂

if y'all haven't gotten this cd (or even heard of it) - there's a cd put out by cold front / k-tel called love you down - booty bass ballads '99 it's a great cd full bass/freestyle remakes of ballads done by adam & stephanie marano - here's what's on it:

love you down (very similar to INOJ's version)
anytime
2 become 1
i don't wanna miss a thing
don't speak
i could fall in love (remix of the remake on the OSF compilation)
do me baby
tender love (sounds like somethin INOJ would do)
time after time (again - INOJ sounding)
bump n' grind
because i love you (the postman song)
i need love
one more try
missing you (BEAUTIFUL remake of diana ross' song)
through the fire (remix of sol's remake)
love me for life

just once can we figure out what weve been doing wrong...and why the good times never last for long, la la la lalalalala

love that remake by mr reyes!!!!

remakes are cool

Damn, this thread is old!

Damn, this thread is old!

XBklynNyCGyrlX, I forgot what I asked before until I scrolled up. I thought Rockell's song was original until I heard the real original on a department store PA system.
