Medication is not always the answer.

I agree Dave. My husband works with exceptional children and he sees the different medications they take and the different reactions they get from it. And those stories are sad.

Medication is not the answer but the long needle up his ass is :lol

There are some children who show a difference in behavior with/without meds, but I think a lot of it is put into their minds by Doctors and parents. STRUCTURE, DISCIPLINE, AND A RESPECT! TEACH THESES KIDS AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! tHE BELT HELPS TOO! lol!

Well let me tell you, without my son's "Aderall" i will/would go completly insane! My son has ADHD and it helps him with anger/listenting/control behaviors. He ran out of meds the other day- let me just tell you-he spent the whole intire day in the schools principal's office! It does make a big diffrence, but it also depends on the kid.

True RoxyGurl, it depnds on the kid. Every child/person is different.
We can all here on CF take the same meds, & yet all have different reactions, right?

Same thing with proper discipline, & spanking/using belt. It works on some, but others not.

I'm sure most of u on here know (or knew) someone who came from a rough background, & were trouble as kids, but grew up to graduate from college & become great people, & then see those from good respectful backgrounds turn out to be criminals or drug addicts. & You wonder: "WTF????" I know I sometimes do.
