2004 Summer Olympics. Do we care?

Tonight is the Opening Ceremonies of The Olympics in Greece. Even thought the games really started with The Soccer on Wed. With The (Played out) US Basketball Dream Team, Michael Phelps, and Cortney Kupets(local Flavor) as Gold medal favorites. The deal is, there is not any big buzz about the games this year. With the Terror threats, lack of preperation on Greece part and The Steriod Controversey in Track and Field and The not so Dream Team; Do we even care about the Olympics?

I'll be watching The Dream Team(lack of it.LOL), local stars; Courtney Kupets(Gymnastics from Gathersburg, MD) and Michael Phelps(Swiming. Bawmore Md). It just seems like there is not much to get fired up about with The Olympics. Mainly since the Russians and East Germans are no more, there is not true Villian to cheer against.

I'll probably watch a few of the games, the gymnastics and diving. I'm more into the winter games.

I'll prolly watch some of the games, like the gymnastics and swimming. As for the rest of it, if I'm channel surfing and there's nothing else on, or something catches my attention, I'll watch it.

And to the point. The Olympics is no where near a sell out. They had to give tickets away. The US Womans Softball team is looking great. Michael Phelps is getting the job done. The Ladies Gymnastics, lets step it up ladies!!!! No comment about the disgraceful US Basketball(The Dream is over)Team. Losing to Pureto Rico, what a joke.

The Womens Relay was no better. Jenny Thompson has lost too many steps in her game. Amanda Beard can't do it by herself!!

There is big controversey. The US is not involved, A Russian Shot Putter was stripped of her gold medal for ... Steriods!!! Gotta love the Russians!!!!
