i find love and emotion in a lot of hip-hop songs. just because it's rap doesn't mean it doesn't have any beauty to it. most of the songs are very emotional, and can stir up various kinds of feelings if you just listen to the lyrics. not to veer off the subject more than i already have... but there's a song by Jay-Z and Xzibit that's so powerful, to me, that it made me stop what I was doing and replay it to really understand what he was saying. the lyrics were about how hard it was for him growing up without a father. he packed so much emotion into it that it was impossible to ignore.

rap, hip-hop, freestyle, country... whatever. we can find emotion in every type of music if we just allow ourselves to hear it and understand it. 🙂

Rap? Emotions? Feelings? What Are You Smoking Bro...
I Can Take A Hallmark Card And Just As Easily Throw Some Curses In Between And Put Some Emotion To * Knodding Head * Rap Is A Joke...

Joke?

Look let's not veer off course again and get a billion dollar industry into this conversation, then make yourself look all so foolish by calling it a joke. This is where the'open up your mind' thing comes in. In your case Elear, try your eyes. You can learn from whatever success that exist in this world. Not only music. Before you go off and say things from the heart that really bother you, you should first analyze the truth. That's all I'm asking. You have to be objective and honest to yourself in order to solve problems within yourself. It's as simple as that.

Hip hop has nothing to do with the issues that we are discussing about FREESTYLE's decline or the transformation that must take place in order for this music to remain at least at the level that it currently stands. You and people like you are the only one's who are stoppin it from becoming a force again. So so sad.

Peace yall. As usual we are going turn a conversation that was making sense into opinion-itis.

Be real to yourself.

I for one love Old Skool Freestyle & still pump it to this very day. I do not support the Nu-Style. But somewhere along the lines we need to change. We cannot live in the past. We do need an evolution in our music but not when you can classify it as Euro. Somewhere it has to stay LATIN as that is what it was originally founded on. But people please stop with the planet rock beats. That is so played out even back in the day that sh!t was whack. You need to stick with the original formula with a twist. You can't just up & change the whol sound. I'm telling you that Euro don't need no more help. So to all the Euro listening people here, don't get offended, but stop calling euro Freestyle. There is a thin line between them. So learn to distinguish that line. I hope producers would do the same & quit f**kin up peoples mind by labeling sh!t Freestyle.

Saying Im Not Real Now Huh?
1 Thing About My Tybless Is That I Never Say Anything I Regret Later. By That,I Mean I Know What Im Saying. Don't Make Me tell U Why RAP Is So Big Because I Will Cause A Whole Big Controversy Here. Create A Rap Song And Create A Freestyle Song...Im Talkin About A RAP HIT....Then A FREESTYLE HIT...See Which Takes More Creativity. Rappers Themselves From Back In The day Say It Themselves,That Rap Has Become A Joke. It's Nothing But Samples And 500 Dollar Drum Machines At Work With Some Wellfare Degenerate 2 Lazy To Get A Job Who Dicides 1 Day To Sit Down And Write About Things He Wants In Life...
There Is Only 1 Rapper I Personally Respect...And Thats TUPAC....WHY? Because He Rapped The Way Rap Was Suppose 2 Be Done...Not Always Talking About The Typical " Fu** This And That " And I Hate Rap. Thats A Rapper...Not These Clowns U Have Today.....Bottom Line....Im Saying It Again And Im Gonna Quote Myself..." Rap Has Become A Joke "

It Is Not Insane....I Did Like " Hip Hop " At One point...But Today It Just Got Disgusting....No Talent Nor Creativity Gets Put Into It....And They Make Up Thier Own Vocabulary As They Go Along. And The Sad Thing Is...Kids Follow It....

Still

That still has nothing to do with the topic of this thread, and nothing to do with your favorite music.

I do rap and I do freestyle. I put it down the same way. Of course it's only natural dealing with singing and notes your going to have to make sure certain things are sonically correct. But a good song is a good song.

The question that I ask of you is:
Instead of complaining about another genre, what are you doing to make the music you love better?
All I see is negativity and what amounts to jealousy of the success that others are having outside of freestyle. I don't see you trying to offer any real solutions. I'll be the first to admit I live a pure hiphop lifestyle, but when I come to clubfreestyle.com I'm not trying to do anything but offer solutions as to how this can be better.

It's like looking at your next door neighbors new car and sulking, instead of taking your ass to work, so that you can get your own.

**YOUKNOWHATIMSAYIN?!?**

I just thought I'd throw in one of those made up hip hop words just for you Elear, so you can have a point, because so far you haven't made one.

thats not a hiphop saying!!!!!!

even if solutions were offered they are never taken...same crap every year...oh well...gets a little depressing being a freestyle fan

well to say there is nothing latin about freestyle is a complete joke! TyB. hit it on point earlier:

hip hop beat + vocoders & synthesizers emulating salsa & merengue chords = latin hip hop or FREESTYLE

and how can u be into freestyle and not appreciate hip hop as well. if it wasnt for hip hop, we probably wouldn't have freestyle. to me freestyle is one of the many subdivisions that came outta hip hop.

freestyle (lisette, cynthia, tka)
new jack r&b (jodeci, mary j. blige, swv)
electro funk (planet patrol, shannon, trinere)
miami bass (dis-n-dat, 69 boyz, luke)

these are some examples of music that we listen to that were all inspired by the rising hip hop scene. now i can agree with u when u say that a lotta the new hip hop is a joke. i think there is a lotta SHYT coming out as well (as with freestyle)! it seems like anyone can make a hit record and become a star. but there are some people still doing it. and thats why it continues.

think about it man! 😉

you know its things like this that really hurt the freestyle community instead of uniting us your ripping us apart I love both the new and old school music but you know what nobody is going anywhere right about now I know for a fact randy taylor has no problem working with willie valentin or glenn gutierez to get you guyz and old school remix flavored track but you refuse to show support and in turn all the new progressive freestyle has to get dropped for the next project the west coast producers are doing everything they can to give you what you guys want but they have to break into their market first without the sales theres no singles and no oldschool freestyle mixes for you we need to help each other out and stop complaining support the name freestyle
