I just remembered, my first performer I went to see was when I was 16 at Escapes in Merrick and it was Stevie B.....

Geez you started young... I got into Freestyle in High Shool in 1987 and I was hooked from the start... Once I started going to clubs there was no stopping me... Those were the days though where every other song on the radio was freestyle back when the original Hot 103 first aired and then it changed to Hot 97. They always had a Saturday night dance party mix that I wanted to stay home and tape but, I was too busy crusing listening to it instead before we went to a club.

1987
I was 14 back then, living in Brooklyn,
I remember the block parties, the house parties,
when we could hang out and dance on the streets.

I remember watching the dance battles, which I must say,
I have never never, ever seen better breakdance moves, than
those back in da' dayssss. :shsh Sorry to say this, but not even
the movie Breaking or Breaking II (Even though they are great dancers there)
comes close. No offense I'm just remembering. Those battles
were one of the best I've ever seen, I mean every where I went.

Reminiscing right now. :cool :dancingb
