1994 was a great and bad year for baseball. It was one of the best seasons ever. Tony Gwynn was on pace for .400. Matt Williams was on pace for 62 HR. The Expos actually had fans and was the best team that year. But it was taken away from us in Aug. 12 1994 when the players went on strike and came back in the middle of The 1995 season. There was no 94 World Series which I thought would have been The Expos vs The White Sox. It took 10 years and The Sosa/MeGuire race to bring back angry Baseball fans. Sadly Baseball has not comeback in Toronto nor Montreal.

What was your thoughts when The Strike Happened?

It turned lots of people off from Baseball after that. The Popularity of THe NBA and NFL grew big after 94. With surburban kids, they turned to something else that was starting that same month in 1994: The X-Games. The Kids like it because there was no egos nor big money involved. It started to show that Pro Sports is more of a Business.
