I want to hear some old 1018 stories. I have a few, but I want to hear other people's first. 🙂

Personally, I didn't care for 1018. I found many of the people there to be snobby and many of them came off with attitudes. It was also too big a place and not very intimate. There were many other clubs during that era which I preferred to 1018 but that's just my opinion. -cc-

1018 never seemed so big to me...i mean compared to the palladium, studio 54 and roseland...i always thought of it as one of the smaller clubs.
i remember i used to go to 1018 on wednesday nights.we had a whole lil crew get together every wed there and singer anastacia was one of da peeps always hangin wit us pretty much every week...that was way b4 the coro video and her backup vocal gigs. that girl LOVED to dance. i also remember right when u would walk in they had a screen where they would show slides of past freestyle performers that had been on stage there. i still remember standing there looking for a few minutes...til ma favorite jam would come on and i'd race to da dance floor..lol.

Hmmm....I could be mistaken about the size. Perhaps I'm thinking of the Palladium. Could be.

Well that was the first time that I saw Johnny O...

Besides that there weren't too many memories there.

Last time I went was when Jose Pinga was singing "Fly Tetas!"

Junito, I totally remember the slides on the wall when you would come in. I wonder what ever happened to all those pictures... Wednesday nights was great at 1018, too. I went to the Cover Girls' album release party on a Wednesday night there. It was a lot of fun and I remember sleeping through all my classes the next day at school.
