I was under the impression that Pain's song came out in 2008 or else I would have had it on my list. Great mix of all types of freestyle (urban pop dance traditional). Being that you do have a radio show, you're helping cue in the freestyle audience to the new era.

Any files of the actual show?

The original was released in early 08; The remix was released later on that year.
The original had no responce but the remix really took off.

The same thing can be said about Jessica Fabus' Obviously and how it ended up on THIS year's countdown.

We can't tell when an audience is really going to take to a song. Sometimes it takes almost a year to get them to come around.

But speaking of "release".
When it comes to our music there is no such thing as "released".

When they started implementing Freestyle into their productions.
Its 2010 people 1988 was 22 years ago.

I used to listen to Club House religiously every Thursday and Friday from 1993 to around 2000. Back then the show was 95% freestyle and 5% latin house.

Your top ten is pretty shocking. I mean, WOW!, that KC remix at 16?!?! I guess times change as do the tastes of people from Holyoke and Hartford.

Anyways, thanks to you and the others at CHDM for 20+ years of great radio!

That Demolition remix of Paparazzi is bangin!

What's not freestyle nowadays? From songs by mainstream artists to TV commercials for everything from female's makeup to the evening news, IT'S ALL FREESTYLE. THE INVASION BEGAN SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND HAS NOW INFULTRATED EVERY SEGMENT OF MAINSTREAM MEDIA!

The only thing that's not freestyle is new music from classic freestyle artists who still get put on all the time to perform at events labled FREESTYLE___________.

During our run in the 80's we had music from Taylor Dayne, Expose, Debbie Gibson, Nice and Wild, Johnny O., Coro, Tony Moran and all of your favorite Freestyle favorites. There was no label; Just dance music!

Our new vision for the show is continue this trend for it bridges the gap between main stream (freestyle based) dance music and our music.

I can tell you that this format works and because we have 15 hours of programming our fans have taken to it.

As far as KC being on the countdown. Freestyle in spanish is popular here; It has always been. We know that Sito's popularity is what makes the song; The remix really helps KC's limited vocals.

And this goes back to my main point. KC is presented during a show where he is on rotation with Freestyle remixes of Lady Gaga's music.

By the way many of our requests come from Florida, Germany, France, NYC and NC. Its not just a New England thing.

You should start listening religiously....AGAIN!

I imagine it's hard these days. I mean, back in the mid to late 90s when I listened there was a new Artistik, Metropolitan, Viper, Luna, etc. release every other week it seemed. Not to mention, new 12" singles were still coming out almost every week for freestyle. These days, we get a couple "internet" releases and a new compilation every other year.

Anyways, hopefully your new plan will bring in new listeners and fans of freestyle music! When I started listening in 1993, all I knew was TKA, Coro, Sweet Sensation, etc. that 94.5 WZOU used to play. And hearing a similar sound on your show while randomly going through the radio dial one night reeled me in. I remember feeling really excited (I was 13 or so) and saying "Holy crap! There's OTHER music like this?!?".

Really, if it wasn't for living in the north county worcester hills and being able to get in WTCC, I wouldn't be here today.

I ONLY stopped listening because I moved to Boston and no longer lived in the north county Worcester hills where I could get WTCC in. Now you have an internet stream and I listen when I can.

You bring up a good point on how important community and college radio stations are to genres that have been shut out from mainstrean radio. Back in 1992 when Freestyle was removed from all chr stations it was hard to get freestyle in cities like Cleveland. We had one record shop that I use to frequent that carried alot of Micmac and to some extent Cutting records but that was it. Luckily,we had a freestyle show on a college radio station WUJC 90.7 and we had like 4 hours of freestyle music and then later on some latin house to listen too.I would only listen to freestyle back then so I don't know what I would have done if we didn't have that show.

We have new Artistik compilation to look forward in 2010.
Tazmania will be releasing a Wendy Album (which I'm looking forward to and hope will be good)

We expect that the requests for songs from Jeniffer Jimenez and Quadlibet will be just as great as the responce for Stevie B's "Different Kind of Love."

When I listen to Jeniffer Jimenez I get taken back to the first time I heard Marisol's Beginning of the End.

Believe you me I hope that we can come back from this seperatism hole many are stuck in and get back to enjoying the dance.

I tuned in last night and the show was a smash from start to finish!

The show started off with Hurts "wonderful life". I was somewhat surprised and excited at the same time. The show was a mixture of current based freestyle and classics not worn out yet. It sounded like really good radio is supposed to sound like. My hat's off to CPR and company.

Thank you for the positive review.
Many calls from Florida which included a call from Tony G and Millie VIP.

Glad you guys love Lady Gaga's "No Way" as much as I do.
