No one bought the Lil' Johanna gimmick; They all knew that she was a Lil' Suzy clone and it never worked; Again. Thank the Dr of Edits!

A lot of that could be due to the fact that freestyle was on a decline when she was introduced to the world. Also, you can't develop an artist based on copying another artist. That was also a big part of it. The best it could have been was peeps hearing it on a mixtape & liking it, but then never thinking of it again.

Thanks ALL of you for the answers and insight. As for the post above mine....jeez! Now I'm confused. I'm not that familiar with songs by them though. I know like 3 Reinaldo songs. About the whole NV/Peter thing....I'm going to have to break out my High Power tapes and reeeeeally listen to the vocals to see whose they are. Does anyone own these H.P. freestyle comps AND own NV's album so that you can possibly compare?? That would be the best thing....so who out of you guys owns both?🙂

This same bullshit has existed in dance music everywhere for almost 30 years now.

You should label the song as it is officially labeled. So if you have a "Reinald-O" song on there, and even though there was 3 different artists performing under High Power's "Reinald-o", you should still only label it as "Reinald-O".

I see what you're saying, but in the situation of "Just Like the Wind" and some other songs, the two different artists really exist. Peter Fontaine and NV each have other "undisputed/non-confused up" material out there.

I heard Tony Dr Garcia is going to try out for the Dr Pepper commercial.
