Wherever there's Joey Gardner in the life of TKA/K7 back in the days, there was always a hit.

ROTFLMAO!!!! No es para tanto!

In the words of Wayne Dyer:

"The major difference that I note in myself is the phenomenal new compassion that seems to have swept into my being in recent years. Where I previously was able to ignore others or to live in my own world, so to speak, now I find myself more emotionally connected to the inner energy of all life forms."

I only support GOOD music freestyle or not,

and that album was not good, tried to fit in with the rnb rap of the moment and it sounded dated..........

k7 - stick to the freestyle where your voice can SHINE, you know we all love you and mabye freestyle cannot make money for you singers anymore but hey atleast we will try and support you.

I feel you. He should of done at least 1 freestlyle song on this album. No homo I love K7 and support him. I felt like this album was okay but those of you who have seen the man peform know he can , and I cant really see him performing these songs. I heard a reggeaton that he did perhaps he will come back and take back what belongs to him.

Didn't K do the male vocals on Cynthia's "How I Love him?" I could picture K7 comin back with some RNB based grooves (ala Nelly, 112, or even Chris Brown) If he did drop some new material in that vein, Hot 96 would give it a chance.

I'm not in charge of your musical career. And since when have you ever cared about the good opinion of other people?? Just keep going the way you're going musically. There's no reason to get offended. My feedback was only knowledge that I gained as a wondering fan.

You say "What is, is". Well I say what's FreeStyle is FreeStyle. Reggaeton isn't FreeStyle and R&B isn't FreeStyle neither.

If you are paying any attention to the little comments people make about your music (of whether they like it or not), it should only be to better yourself as a musician. If not, then don't even respond to it. To the "negativities" of the world.

hmmmmm

Wow you guys are right I never saw it that way . I am only worth the freestyle I
sing and any aspirations or desire I have to venture into different genres of
music have no merit since freestyle is all I will ever be good for .
And any talent that any of us have in this page should only be for the evolution
of freestyle . From here on in I vow to only sing & record freestyle music . In
the manner that tka sang it .so I will start by redoing the entire tka catolog
and re release it to test the waters then I will try to recreate an era in music
that everyone has tried to recreate for the past 15 years with very little
response from radio . I,m sorry guys I,m only kidding about that I don,t mean to
be sarcastic really its just that.
I,ve been around for so long that my hopes are some what lost for the miracle
cure for the resurgence of freestyle . That doesn,t not mean that I don,t
appreciate what its given me but I just can,t make an attempt at it 100% .
There is young blood for freestyle out there guys and girls who have the
strength to tackle the hurdles ahead for it the closest I come now is with my
ownership of tka and performances of tka material . In recording I,ve been
trying other things as well but as much as it would be fun I can,t fight a
serious battle in the name of freestyle cause I see the inside view of what
record execs and programers feel about our genre .
Here is a little story for you
The grand dame of freestyle judy torres who works for ktu has repeatedly tried
to fight the battle to get new freestyle up here at ktu whether it were her
records or that of others new school or first school but every regime at ktu has
passed its been only good for a mix here or there no matter how bangin the
record is .
Please notice that judy,s new single is not freestyle and of all the stuff she
has had the record promote this is the one that is garnering the most buzz
believe me I,m at the station during the night shift which is its slowest hours
and the phone calls for that song are crazy .
Look with tka we were and have been lucky really. We got love from radio back
then because of the timing in which we released the songs and the fact that we
had a label with money . Those songs were as good but the fact that they got
played every hour and a half on what at that time was the biggest stations in
new york chicago texas , san jose and miami made all the difference . You guys
may not like what ty bless and I did that's ok but that was a problem with
timing and a record label that had no bankroll to handle its roster of artist .
The same goes for tommy boy and the tka forever album. It sank we sank tanked
and failed we weren,t the first and won,t be the last to do it . One last thing
every tka song with the exception of one or two suffered resistance from fans
even back in the day. We had female fans no real male fans until late in our
career. So the critisizing has been part of my career from jump and I understand
just remember all it take is one record force fed to you by radio to make you
change your mind and make you listen with a different mind state.
Oh freestyle never belong to us we are part of freestyle because you guys
allowed us in . You still allow us in that why we are still here. And for that I
thank you .
There are so many good new school artist out there who need your support they
are fighting for you ,support them if you can.
Cause its all up hill with pot holes and construction and traffic and bad
weather too. ... Make money stop bickering about nonsense ,
ou all have the potential to make a classic but it has to be heard and fighting
in here ain,t gonna get that done .
Don,t be distracted by the frosting there's a lot of cake under there

p.s p.i.m

i'm not offened by your comments at all why do you take it like that .
and you are right about freestyle is not any of those other genres of music .and if you allow me to compare freestyle to anything compare it to the whole star wars mythology .
its more like the whole jedi mind state very few doing it. half its power killed off but strong enough to continue with the few new strong and able.
....
the comments that others make negative or positive are absorbed by me believe me . but i also know the politics of the negativity or positivity on any old school or the more popular new school acts its dig dig dig rip rip rip .
and though it is for you people that i still do what i do i rather not speak in depth of what i'm doing .i don't want to be butchered as always happens.when things are not well recieved ...
in the heart of it this is the music business and though we all want to be successful none of us has the key to the door to success we are lucky to walk through .there are a million people out there more talented than me and some of my peers but in this genre if you had prior success for how ever much you may or may not have had some think that we could manifest a hit like a rabbit out of a hat ,when it is all trial and error . i know you know this my reply is for all those who don't though.

the only way would be if we re recorded those songs we wrote as individual acts .from my part the few songs i wrote for the project are at this point no part of any of the current things i'm involved in.
it was a hybrid album that may have pissed alot of you guys off cause at the time we stopped we had not recorded any freestyle songs .
this is not to say that we were not going to record any it was that we did not intentionally start with the freestyle or dance tracks.

but it would have been a great album none the less and it had hits on there , most of those hits we being written by G.L. that man is a great song writer.
