As you all know..Im doing a Freestyle project for school..Well, my teacher had NO CLUE that I knew that much about it. He came up to me, and told me that he has a mix, that he can give to me just in case...I looked at him, laughed..And told him I have OVER 30 Freestyle CDs!! Then, I took out my TKA pictures, which was with me in them, just to show him that i didnt steal them and make it look like I was never there..lmao..And you should have seen his face!!! He was in shock man!! he said.."Oh my god!! Thats TKA!! Crystal, your freakin famous!!"...lmao!! I was enjoying myself..I was so proud!!!...lol...He said, that i am a genious, and that this is very interesting with what im doing....😀

LOL - Crystal I am not trying to be mean but I think it is funny that you spelled GENIUS wrong.

Anyways, this kind of reminds me about the time I wrote a college paper back in 1995 on Miguel Reyes' song "THOSE WERE THE TIMES" while I was at Temple University. I also gave an oral report on Freestyle music for a public speaking class during that same semester!

Keep writing about your passion for Freestyle, Crystal. You are bound to spark interest in those unfamiliar with the sound or ignite memories for the many who have lost touch with it...

As I mentioned in my post I was not trying to be mean to Crystal by correcting her spelling. Anyways, I offered my opinion of TKA's album 'FOREVER' on the day it was officially released (11-6-01)...In case you or anyone else may have missed it here is what I had to say:

5. LOVE CONQUERS ALL - Slow Jam (sounds like a Backstreet Boys type of song)
6. NOW THAT YOUR GONE - R&B
7. ONE DAY U - Pop with a Latin feel to it
8. MOVE OUT THE WAY - House
9. IN A MANNER - Freestyle
10. SEXUAL FANTASY - Dance/New School Freestyle
11. SAY THE WORD - Slow Jam/R&B
12. FEEL THE MUSIC (Spanish Version) feat. James Da Barba - House
13. IN AND OUT - Slow Jam/R&B

I bought the new TKA album on November 6, 2001. 13 tracks in all and I have to ask myself was spending $13.00 of my hard earned money worth only 1 (possibly 2) Freestyle songs - My answer...NO!!!!!

So after over a year of hype, speculation and disappointment - one of the many things  we have heard from the TKA camp was that this album was made to re-establish the group and there will be another album to follow sometime in 2002 that will be strictly for TKA's hardcore Freestyle fans - unless plans have changed, I would like to see them stick to their word!
That is all I have to say, I had already prepared myself for disappointment but at least the inclusion of "IN A MANNER" and "SEXUAL FANTASY" helped to soften the blow...

Crystal, it is not everyday that somebody gets to write a report on Freestyle music for a school project. I think it would be a nice addition to the site if you do decide to add your article!!!
