Okay, so who went to the Puerto Rican Parade yesterday? In your opinion, how was it?

I didn't go. It was much too hot and humid. I think I would've died out there. The mass body heat out there would've done me in. :lol
 
I heard it was packed. Daym, it will probably be hot as all hell for the gay pride parade.

I went LaBetty, and I had a great time... it wasn't as hot as I thought it would be, there was a breeze and we were on the side of the Park so there were trees... I go down to the 80's cause it's less people there... so we had space to see all the festivities.. I always leave that parade with my heart full.... so great to see my people waving their flags with pride...
 
I was there for alittle while! Took the kids; they had fun especially on the motorcyles we were riding. I got a few pics.. post them up later!
 
It didn't make sense to go. I instead went to the 116th Street PR Festival where there was lots of dancing and stuff like that (Sat., June 11). Had I went to the parade on Sunday, I would have felt like I couldn't walk anywhere. There were millions of people. I stayed my ass home lol.
 
One good thing I got from watching it on TV was that I saw that new group that's out called N'Klabe. They did this song that is very dancable and I like their stuff. And I take dance class, so when I seen them do some of the moves that we normally learn, I was shocked (a dancer can tell when a singer has taken some classes dammit! lol) I even saw Frankie Negron dance with a girl, he was great, he was rockin it.

After N'Klabe, I changed the channel LOL. Who else went?
 
Heartbrake, the side of the park is always the best because of the shade due to all the trees. 🙂 And it's good that there was a breeze because the weather is definitely "pass out", "heatstroke" weather.

The Daily News talked about how some of the Latin Kings got arrested for trying to crash the parade. 3 people got stabbed, including a cop. A total of 175 people were arrested.

Some shit always happens, no matter what parade it is.

I watched some of it on the TV..i HATED the commentators tho.. I was so upset that they as Puerto Ricans had NO clue who MOST of the new artists were.. They were naming people on Floats that werent even there! I was like WTF? They sucked! I turned it off cuz after viewing the horrible job they did in NOT allowing us the viewers to hear the music on the Floats I was heated! I didnt turn on the parade to hear them hablando mielda! LOL..I could get that on the radio on a daily basis.. Geez..
