I can't stop staring at my favorite photograph
The one with you and i having ourselfs a good laugh
I still remember that night you kissed me for the first time
And i thought forever you would be mine
Yet that wasn't on your mind
And all that time i was blind
All of that is now in the past
You finally found the love of your life at last
I remember the day you told me
That you fell hard and you knew it was meant to be
Your feelings for me had come and gone
And it was much easier for you to move on
You told me not to cry
That this wasn't a final goodbye
That you would still come around
To just call you when i was feeling sad and down
At first it was hard to let you go
There were so many things that i didn't let you know
Yet i still watched you walk away
With so much i couldn't say
Like what was i supposed to do
With the pain in my heart that still yearns for you
You call me every now and than
To just see how i have been
I always manage to say that i'm doing great
And i'm on my way out on a date
I hang up and i throw the phone
Cause the truth is i'm still alone
I wish i could tell you how i really feel
To make you understand that my love for you is real
But you promised that you would always care
And as a bestfriend you would always be there
My heart doesn't understand what any of that means
Your words play in my mind like from a movie scene
But it doesn't end like a fairytale
Cause without you in my life i feel as if i'm living in hell.
