WWE is deeply saddened by the news that Eddie Guerrero has passed away. He was found dead this morning in his hotel room in Minneapolis. Eddie is survived by his wife Vickie and daughters Shaul, 14, Sherilyn, 9, and Kaylie Marie, 3.

:sosad! Oh man I can't believe it!

I just literally found out about this not even 3 minutes ago..you must have read my mind Ant cuz I was about to post it myself....I'm in so much shock right now..I have been such a fan of his for 15 years. He was so talented at what he did, the fact that he openly admitted that drug use was ruining him and he made the effort to stay sober and succeeded...he was such an inspiration for those with the same problem, and it is such a shame that it caught up with him when he was truly happy...I'm glad that I got to see him in person several times and I hope that other wrestlers who are going thru drug addiction make this the day that they all go sober. Eddie was loved by so many people, such as Chavo Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, and Rey Mysterio. My heart goes out to his wife Vicki and his children. :sosad

I have some questions.....

-Was the death as a result of RECENT drug usage??

-Or did previous drug usage catch up with him?? If so, how can that affect you if you are sober??.....I thought cigarettes were the only factor that may follow you to your grave even if you are sober.

If drugs were the issue....

-What kind were they??....Illegal Steroids??

The reason why I ask these questions is because I see more & more body builders and/or wrestlers dying young Today than back in the 70's and 80's and it is not coincidental. There's too many deaths going down and something needs to be done.

We won't know until the autopsy results are in, but according to a press conference by Vince McMahon and Chavo Guerrero, they stated that he had been sober for the past 4 years...Vince fired Eddie before because of a drug issue, so I'm sure if he had a relapse he would have been gone. I believe this is a case of his past catching up with him, because sometimes it doesn't matter if you get the drugs out of your system, because the damage that it does remains. The same thing happened with Hawk of the Road Warriors/LOD. It's a miracle beyond miracles that Superstar Graham is still alive today, after all the steroids he put in his system, and you are exactly right PIM, they are a hell of a lot of wrestlers dying young today....Kerry Von Erich, Brian Pillman, Davey Boy Smith, Curt Hennig, and Bobby Duncum all died in their early or mid 30's...it's a shame because people assume these guys are wrestlers 24/7, but they all have families like the rest of us.

Yeah...my friend has a son and when he finds out it's gonna devestate him..he doesn't know yet. He's a big wrestling fan and he mimics his moves..we used to get big laughs about it. :(

Not only that my ex-girl met him twice...and the first encounter they both cried in each other's arms. He was touched how much she loved him and how much of a dedicated fan she was. He told her it's fans like her that that he gives much thanks too. And he gave her his wrist band which I have now put away in my closet.

What hurts me is how much I watched him everynight on smackdown..and how he brought his family into the story plot...it was a beautiful thing to see I mean he has such a beautiful family. I'm telling you it's a shocker.

In the last days that I saw Eddie, he seemed to be in incredible shape. Believe it or not, this news comes as a shocker to me as well. This is why i'm so concerned with this wrestling death bullshit. Something is going down and it has to stop!!! When the autopsy comes in, I would like to know the exact cause of his death.

It makes the drug policy that the WWE has seem pretty lax...I know that Jeff Hardy left the company because at the time he didn't want to kick his habit...he must have been on drugs to be doing all that crazy shit with the ladders!
