Definitely!! I have bought both of George LaMond's salsa albums because I would support anything that he does. I also bought Angel Clivilles' album. As long as I like the artist, I would support whatever work they do!
unfortunately i have - i bought sa-fire and lisette's salsa albums and they were terrible!!! (in my opinion) - i also got chrissy's spanish single and that was pretty bad also:-(
YES I WOULD & I HAVE LIKE: GEORGE LAMOND & BRENDA K. STARR
THEY WERE GREAT ALBUMS. I DIDN'T THINK GEORGE LAMOND WAS ABLE 2 DO SALSA WHEN I BOUGHT HIS 1ST ALBUM,BUT IT WAS GREAT!
Hey chyco! I think your too harsh on Lissette Melendez's Salsa album! That sh*t was dope! Sergio Mendez was the backbone on that project & he produced Marc Anthony's 1st few albums!
i support anything my favorite freestyle artist do, wheather it be dance, trance, hip hop, salsa, or R&b.....i loved the last house/trance single that brenda k starr did called "hold me" and i brought Angle clivilles both singles and album, plus sa-fire's new house remix of "dont break my heart" is off da chain!!
OK a couple of you guys are being a little to harsh on my girl SAFIRE - i happen to enjoy her salsa cd. it was a great effort, better produced then some of the other freestyle to salsa cds -
regardless of whether u enjoyed it or not - i personal feel that it was pretty good - vocals, production & beats.
now getting back to the question - i would support any freestyle artist regardless of whichever direction they went , as long as i enjoyed their work -
Although I have purchased a few of these non-FreeStyle releases in the past, I try not to do it anymore, unless I can find them used or at a significant discount.
Nowadays, my answer would be: No, regardless of whom the artist is.
yes if and only if its good. Ive got indias albums which are all good , same with george lamond. But i ahd a bad feeling about the safire salsa album so i didnt get it.
I never have and will never buy a non-Freestyle song by a Freestyle artist just because they are a Freestyle artist. I used to buy records by known Freestyle artists, without knowing how the songs go. As luck would have it, they have all turned out to be Freestyle so I am able to vote "No". 🙂
Well, As for me, I'll buy good music, and my Borthers and sister SALSA Isnt good Music to me, infact I think that iy sux :lol, along with R&B 😀
How ever I did buy sa-Fire's salsa album, just I it was SA-FIRE and She looked hella GOOD in the Picture :lol :lol I bought it thinking that I might be or have some spanish Freestyle in it, but o well, Phunk It, Two Bees in a Bucket, que no Ese??? :lol
Another Non Freestyle album that I relly enjoy is George LaMond's "Creo En It", I think that it's hes best album!!
😱 Delicious, you don't like salsa & r&b!!! I love salsa, r&b & freestyle. I've never heard salsa freestyle fused together before, I wonder what that'll sound like...& I've never heard OF r&b freestyle, is that possible?
To answer the question on hand: I'm thinkin' as long as I like the artist's voice & think they have talent then, yes I would buy a non-freestyle cd from a freestyle artist...they're considered freestyle artist 'cause they sang mostly freestyle is all. Who's to say they don't/can't/won't sing well in another genre...
