Three years hence the day
when your blood returned to earth
our women cried out
our men cursed the air
and the gaze of the morning lord fell upon me
he, the first
who existed before the word
he soothed my pain
returned my fire, and gave me purpose
and wrapped his black hand around my heart

I seek out his will
left a slave to the night
we without the council of our queens
to save us from the madness of the storm

an insane world closes in upon us
and we can yet live through it
if we join the storm
and take it's madness into us
and sail upon winds from the coast
into the lands of our destiny
protected by the courage of insanity
and finally shed the mantle of madness
to gain the council of the queen of this land

walk from the shadows
return to the sun
free yourselves from his grip
and live on from now, until the end
as the one you truly are
