I'm thinking of having our Facebook fan page automatically populated with information regarding upcoming Freestyle dance music events and shows. This will help spread the word about events - which is great for promoters, artists - and everyone else involved. However, I don't want people coming in here, posting about Viagra and having that show up on Facebook. That's a great way to get people to ignore you and/or get booted off Facebook.

So.. I'm figuring only specific people will be able to start topics in this area. What's your opinion on that?

I think it's wise to have just one person doing that. In the past Kenny Guido was the Event's manager here, and he still posts about new stuff by linking to New York Freestyle.

Swins is very into the freestyle scene and has been sending messages on FaceBook and has posted info here. You may want to approach him about it.

I'm going to Sidetracks tonight to see Laura Enea and The Rios Sisters. Swins should be there, I'll talk to him.

Thank you! Wow! Laura Enea and The Rios Sisters! Awesome... I didn't know they were still playing live.. I don't get very involved with NYF because Kenny has a good handle on it. I'll be more involved here - and that should have me up to date with current events...

Thanks for spreading the word to Swins!

Unfortunately, I didn't get to the show last night.

I got out of the shower, and slipped on the wet floor. I didn't fall, but I pulled/strained my Achellies Tendon, and could barely walk.

I'm pissed, I had never seen the Rios Sisters perform before. I did see Laura Enea at a show recently to celebrate the release of the new Nyasia CD.
