Okay, I have really tried to be patient but it's getting really hard. When are any freestyle artists going to come to the Philly area? New York and Northern Jersey are too far to travel especially when there are at least 15-20 nice clubs in the PHilly area to perform at. Where is the love? It's not like there isn't a fan base here- there most certainly is. Please if someone knows of any freestyle artists coming to Philly please let me know. :hearton

Im willing to do a show in Philly I actually had been booked for New Years Eve Freestyle Extravaganza this past Year but Guess what 2 days prior to the show the promotor pulled the Plug......

yeah philly dose need a nice big freestyle concert so one day it will be back on philly radio the only freestyle i hear is what i play when dj partys everyone asks me to play freestyle so im happy but i have not done a party in a while i just got over a broken leg .

thanks Ashley yes i am better i am off the crutches and cane just in time for spring all i gotta do now is find a good freestyle concert in philly to find and find a ride peace and keep up the good work and keep freestyle alive.

😀 Hiya Ashley and Emmanuel!! Well, I live near Philly (45 mins away) and my sis lived in NE Philly, so I know my way around lol.

To start with my area (Lehigh Valley, Pa.) had 2 clubs that were booking freestyle, now we have hit a dry spell lol. I tell ya I am feenin for some freestyle, BIG TIME!!

I agree with you Diva Dawn (welcome to the board from FreestyleMom), NY and Northern NJ are too far for me and my daughter too).

The clubs in my are that "WERE" booking freestyle are VolcanoNightClub with DJBabyJ (he was I heard one of the "founding" DJ's of freestyle in the NY area, he moved here, and now focuses on Latin music, some Hip-hop, and his club now has 2 nights where the under 21ers can come to Oxygen Bar night (I have yet to go lol). His Latin night is Sat. night, that's 21 and up (I saw George Lamond there on a Sat. night last year), and Thursday, and Friday are under 21 Oxygen Bar nights (tonite they have 2 Philly DJ's for I think $25). So their is "HOPE" for the DJ booking freestyle if the demand is there, and we can get a good turn-out.

The other club is BocaJoes, and the last freestyle show there was New Years Eve with Angel of The Cover Girls, and NOEL. I checked their website recently (www.bocajoes.com) and I don't see any upcoming shows. The DJ booking the shows is DJButtaballEd, and the agency he went through is La'Entertainment run by Latif Mercado of Stylin' Free/Metropolitan Records. I have HOPE for that club to book future shows too.

2 NEW clubs have arrived in my town, SPIN (I have the website info), it's in an grand old hotel, and they just had DJSkribble, but only had a reported figure the newspaper said of about 350 fans.The other club is in a bowling alley lol, and they are trying a 70's-80's night on Thursdays. I stopped by, it was dead and NO music from that time period that I could hear (I wasnt there long). Next I'll post about Philly

Thanks for showing some interest. I will list a few clubs in the area that I know are pretty cool. It's unfortunate one of the best clubs in Philly just got closed down.
