I swear it seems every time I turn on the radio or MTV its always rap.
I dont get why freestyle cant get airplay at all but rap is to played out. thats all u hear anymore.you cant even dance to it. to me its boring music! im getting annoyed. :mad

It might not end, but the last couple of years has not been great for Hip Hop. Nas and Eminem are the only million selling artist in Hip Hop now. Shygirl you have a point. The oversaturated rotation of hip hop is slowing it down. Plus, all of it sounds the same. They all rap about the Bling!! Even DMX at times, and he's the most hardcore/street rapper out there. I only listen to Dance anyway. Most music on the radio now suck anyway, and record sale losses of $30 million between 2001-present can't be wrong!!

Either way, music, mainly hip hop does suck right now.:blah
 
It's so true. All these mofos rap about is the yang yang. Kinda boring you know? And I don't like JayZ...I find JayZ is a broken lyricist...broken in the sense that his rhymes don't blend too well.

at times i don't mind it... but i don't think it'll go away... it grows in huge proportions... faster than, pop, country, dance, freestyle.. put together...
 
i agree with you all that they play too much rap and hip hop. it would be nice if there was more of a variety on air. i do like rap, but sometimes im just not in the mood to hear it. and anywayz i dont really like all the new artists coming out. of course im a huge Eminem fan, but other than that i listen to old school....but freestyle is what i jam to the most, thats why im here! 😛

Its so true!!! When MTV actually DOES show music videos, it always seems to be rap!! Its so played out, and it all sounds exactly the same! I am sick to death of it!

Ditto to everything you guys said. They all follow the same formula, it seems nobody knows how to write anymore, SO they see what works for who and use the same ingredients..ugh it's so old. I don't mind DMX, NAS or Eminem but, everybody else has nothing to say.. Anyways I'll be bangin my Freestyle 🙂
 
The only Rappers I listen too now is LL Cool J(veteran MC), The Roots and Common. They are very Original. The only thing Lil Kim and Trina does is keep a stiffi in my pants.LOL

I know hip hop won't go away. But many don't consider it dance music. I know I don't. I won't disagree with those who say it is dance music because, this thread is a collection of our opinions😉
