Ok so how did you all discover freestyle. See I was about 8 and my cousin had this mix tape(stevie b,linear,johnny o,soave,cynthia and a whole lot of other stuff i still dont know but it is good) and he ended up giving it to me. I still have that thing and listen to it every once in a while even though its all faded out and parts are missing and damaged but...that tape has been eveywhere, portugal, spain, montreal, the states eveywhere ive gone the tape went. so yeah thats when i first met freestyle i guess u can say. 12 years later im still listening to the stuff. I find it kool cuz i was a kid when the classics came out and i still listen to it. So how bout all u guys how were u introduced to the freestyle lifestyle?

hm... my BF gave me a tape... I listened to it and loved it.
 
I was 6 when I first heard Let The Music Play by Shannon, and IOU by Freeze.....that was back in 83
 
I first heard it when I was about 8 or so,Then when I was about 12 I really got into it and that was about 90,and ever since then i've been into it!!!!!
 
when i was growing up i listened to freestyle cuz of my older cousins. and at family parties and all...but i was like 3-8 years old. Than hip hop came along on hot 97 and everything changed.. I didnt know what freestyle was all i knew was michael jackson and dr dre. then when i was lik 12 i started going through some of my cousins music and bam...freestyle became top dog in my music world again.......
