What up CF peeps,

About 3 years ago we set forth to be the largest freestyle
promotion service/community in the world.

One that would Expand the reach of our music globally and locally
to people from all walks of life.

I want to know from CF members - Are we getting anywhere?
Is this just a waste of time, my money and effort?

Where do we stand All CF member Please answer with your opinions
and ideas and Please List Our Accomplishments in the past few years.

I have found CF to have been very informative since it's conception.
Are we getting anywhere? Well I beleive there is still a lot of people we need to reach.
I myself have learned that in the last 8 months.
Recently I have had the pleasure of setting up Nu Image fan chats and while in the chat we have set up links to freestyle internet radio shows.
Many of the fans from around the world did not even know of freestyle music or the internet shows for that matter.
When they hear the music most of the comments are how can I purchase that song, or who sings that song .
So it it very clear to me that we still have a ways to go.

Here is the kicker they all say how can I purchase this music,most of the new fans want to buy the music not download it.
Me personally I don't mind if someone downloads a Nu Image song , but I also think if you really like the music , buy it when it is avalible.

I mean I used to record music off the radio , or tape it from a friends record , but I always purchased the original record.
I recorded the music for my listening pleasure and purchased the record because 1.theres nothing better than the original quality. and 2.It was a great feeling supporting a fellow artist .

I think it's great that there is music on CF that fans can download ,but it's also great to support that artist by buying the cd.
In 2003 we need to reach new ears for this music , it's a great thing to have loyal fans of this music. I beleive we can reach new fans
we just have to work at reaching them.

Another area we have to look at is the quality of our music.
I hope no one gets offended by this, but I have heard some songs in different mixshows and I have to say it boggles the mind how some of these songs were recorded.
Sometimes I listen to these songs and I can see why the industry just looks the other way, when they even hear of the word freestyle.
I myself am not perfect , but I care what a Nu Image song sounds like.
There are times when we are recording,and I lay down a vocal track and say to myself , what the hell did I just sing, that was awfull.
So I have to go back and re cut the vocals.
There are even times when our producer plays a certain sound or melody, and we say you must be out of your mind, get rid of it.

My point is this we as artist need to really be hard on ourselves when it comes to new music.
As fans we need to also know when to step up to the plate and say , I really don't like the record.
But thats not it we also need to know why we don't like that record. Sometimes a record sounds great but it may not be what someone is use to ,so it may have to grow on an individual.
In other cases the record is just a bad record , be it production , vocals, lyric content etc.
This is just another area we need to focus on.
This is just my opinion JACK G. and CF memebers.
I just thought that 2003 could be a better year for this music if we really wanted it to be.

I hope my opinions did not offend anyone on this board , for that was not my intention.

YOU have accomplished ALL TRUE Freestyle supporters to come together like Family..and to be honest when I first found this I realized that I was not the only one still into Freestyle music.

everything is going great with cf without cf there would be no freestyle in philly and its great to see fans from all over so lets keep it going and makin 03 strong for cf and freestyle music 🙂
 
JACK BABE YOU KNOW THAT WE CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THIS SITE. IF IT WASN'T BECAUSE OF YOU WE WOULDN'T KNOW WHERE TO GO AND FIND OUT ABOUT OUR FAVORITE FREESTYLE ARTIST. WHERE THEY ARE PERFORMING. NAH YOU AIN'T WASTING YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY. WE LOVE IT HERE.
 
well i think its giving a lot of exposure to the new artists
especially the canadian ones...it helps them be known in the us
 
Jack your doing a great job with your site, are you kidding me, you've definitely come a long way since then. Keep up the great job, this site is helping alot of people get to know other freestyle lovers and people they can talk to about this genre that is always looked down on.

If you put heart effort and most importantly love, it will pay off. 🙂 That looks like something you easily done JackG. 😀 I happen to think this site has exceeded so many expectations. It bloomed tremendously from back in the days. I can only hope super much more success to you JackG, and the Freestyle communities out there. 😎

I'M GRATEFUL FOR THIS SITE BECAUSE IT'S VERY INFORMATIVE IN LETTING YOU KNOW THE LATEST IN WHAT'S GOING ON IN FREESTYLE...WE GET TO HEAR ALL THE LATEST NEWS SAMPLES OF MUSIC AND EVEN CONDUCT INTERVIEWS WITH ARTIST AND GET FACTS STRAIGHT FROM THEIR DOMES...JACK I LOVE THIS SITE..IT ALSO CONTAINS SOME OF THE MOST AMAZING PEOPLE SHARING VIEWS AND OPINIONS ON THE MUSIC THAT WE LOVE.

SO IT COULD NEVER BE A WASTE OF TIME, EVER!
 
Jack, this site has been a learning experience for me. Most of the people here come to this site to talk about what happened back in the day, and how things nowadays in freestyle music are coming along and evolving. I however (believe it or not) came here acting really dumb (and i happened to think sweet sensation was some fancy boy-band.) Since i joined here a year and a half ago, I can't believe all the things I didn't know about freestyle before. AS well this site isn't too popular which i find good because there aren't scary creeps here looking for trash to talk about. This is a hell of a good site and I don't know what my knowledge or even my taste of music would be like had I never found CF. thanks jack, you did a great job creating this site. 🙂
 
I just want to say too...because of this site...I have met the most loveliest creation in the whole wide world...so I thank you for that JackG! Im honored too to have such great friends that are the sweetest Ive ever seen! Love ya...and you (Not you JackG, thats gonna seem gay) 🙂lol)...you lil thing...LOVE YOUUUU!!!

Well first I wanna say thank to you Jack G for taking the time and for all the effort you put into this site. Although I don't have many posts under my belt it has become my favorite site and have read through the millions of posts through the last 2 years. It's great to have an outlet to talk about Freestyle, the music which has been part of me for so long, with others that share my love for it.
Because of this site I have met many wonderful people who I consider friends now. Were it not for ClubFreestyle I wouldn't have met many artists or expanded my knowledge of the music.Nor would I have been introduced to many songs. Special thanks to Anthony for being a friend, for the mail you sent :dgrin and for actually understanding my views. Also to KennyGwedo,thanks for all the hard work with the videos, all the laughs and for keeping the posts alive!!

One thing that I hate though is the loss of so many people for whatever reason it may be. As for me I'll continue to push this site since it is the number one Freestyle website on Earth.You think I'd give ya a link for nothin' Jack?

Ahhhhhhhhhh Jack! What can I say? I've said it all before you know...many of times!!!!! I love CF! This site is AWESOME! I've learned so MUCH more about freestyle then I could have ever imagined! Before becoming a member of this site the only freestyle artists that I really knew were Stevie B, Johnny O, TKA, etc.

Now I know there are a WHOLE lot more artists out there that are absolutely fantastic. These would include Judy Torres, Cynthia, Safire, Willie Valentin, Nick Colon, Nu Image, Ashley, Sam Savon, and so many more! Like Nyasia! (The Lady :vamp) 😉 The voices on these people blow me away! The talent? AWESOME!

I've also met people from this site that I can call friends for a lifetime! THANK YOU for all of the hard work, time and effort you put into this site! 🙂

My honest opinion JackG, we're on a long road and there's a long way to go. I feel our main problem is that as a group we're not focused. We all talk about supporting freestyle, but our efforts are too scattered. Some peeps go to shows, some don't. Some peeps buy new cds, some don't. One thing that I think we should do is have all clubfreestyle members who can start calling and requesting freestyle. Now that we have a member "on the inside" (James Anthony) perhaps we'll have some leverage. Say, for example, he is able to get Nyasia's song some exposure. WE need to set up a schedule of some sort where members can call ktu and make such pests of ourselves that they see that there are fans out there, and we want to hear new freestyle.

As for accomplishments, you have managed to get a bunch of people from all over the world to post here.

Because of you and CF, I (and others) have gone to shows and met many of the peeps who come here.

Because of you and CF, I (and others) have met freestyle fans from PA, NY, NJ, MA, and other places!

Because of you and CF, I (and others) have gone to shows and met freestyle artists. So far, I've met Nyasia, TKA, Judy Torres, Cynthia, Safire, Tonasia 😉, Ashley, Synthia Figueroa, Willie Valentin, and others.

Because of you and CF, I (and others) have created a website and internet radio station that I would consider successful. My Website has received over 14 thousand hits last year, and in the past month my station has had over 22 hundred listening hours.

We need to focus our attention and power on radio now. Forget freestyle videos on TRL. Not gonna happen. Let's get some of the new stuff by Nu Image, Nyasia, Ashley, and Latin Nation on the radio and more exposure.

I can see how the Artist(some) benifit from this site, but i'm just curious to know, what is that you get out of all of this Jack?

And in all due fairness, i don't know if this has anything to do with the members of this site, but i have been hearing a bit more Freestyle music on KTU.
 
You have done a lot with this site. You have made it possible for artist and fans alike to come here get the info they need. I think it benefits artist because they can come here connect with so many fans and get insight as to what fans may think, it is a way for them to promote new material or just plain bug out. You have allowed memebers from all over a place to come find info that otherwise might be hard to find since we have members here who are so knowledgable when it comes to Freestyle we even have our own encyclopedia AKA Anthony lol also so many people have formed great friendsips here as well as relationships. This site is a beautiful thing and just liek a family we have our disagreements but we always stick together. SO thank you this has truly not been a waste ive been a member since the old board and still love it.
