How does everyone (who DJ's/has turntables) lessen the bad effect of a scratch...assuming it is not too deep? I put a little of petrolium jelly over the scratch. It seems to fill it in pretty well. Depending on the depth of the scratch, it will either "cure" it or lessen the noise made from it......So, what's your personal cure ?? 😛

This may sound dumb to ya'll, but I tend to take a paper towel & rub that puppy down, 1st with a wet paper towel & then dry it with (obviously) a dry paper towel & rub the scratch spot really hard like if I'm trying to turn it into a diamond or something! Believe it or not, it worked for a lot of my old records I cherished! 😀

GET A PENCIL AND FILL IN THE SCRATCH WITH THE LEAD I SAVED QUITE A FEW RECORDS WITH THAT TRICK.
