THE MOST STRESSFUL THING ABOUT MY JOB IS TRACKING DOWN INCOME INFORMATION WHEN AN IMMIGRANT LIES TO YOU...THEY WANT MEDICAID BENEFITS BUT THEY LIE SOMETIMES AND IT PISSES ME OFF...AND SOMETIMES THE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER HAS LIKE 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE WORKING UNDER IT...GEEEEEZE...IT'S JUST A MESS!

The commute!!! Sometimes the x10 or x17 from SI to NYC (or vice-versa) can take over 2 hours!!!! Sick!!! 🙁

yeah i work in a super market and apeople are so rude, complicated and impossible

I'm a paramedic/EMT....what isn't stressful? seriously though, it's stressful cause you literally mean the difference between life and death for some people. Also stressful is the hours for my job...they're unpredictable and even though you may only be scheduled to work 4 hours, you can end up doing more cause that's just how it is. Also on busy days going from either accident scenes or to people's houses...it gets hectic when you're constantly going and you don't get a break. What I find stressful, is the fact of trying to seperate your emotions from the job. By the end of shift, you don't know if you want to cry or just breath a huge sigh of relief. But despite the stress level, I love my job and wouldn't trade it for anything.

I know what you're going through Meg. Stress is not really an option for people in our type of work. Which makes it very stressful for us at the end of the day. But like you said I would trade my job for anything.

Yes it is but we cope with it by talking it out afterwards at the firehouse

I understand that. We do the same thing....we talk it out back at the dispatch center...we have basically what looks like a big living room w/ kitchen and when we're not responding to calls, most of us are ack there talking things out and stuff. Also at the end of shift too.

Most stressful thing is the customer calling in after having an accident and then start yelling at me when i'm trying to help them out
