Hello all! I have not been up to date with my Freestyle listening since radio down here in Tampa only plays "Masquerade" by Science and some Collage songs, so I gotta ask....what happened to MicMac??? They were one of my all-time favorite labels back in the day all the way up to the mid 90's. I heard something about them closing they're offices, but I wanna know more. What happened to the artists under contract? R the CDs they made discontinued? Someone shed some light here, I'm in the dark!!!

Also, there was a Metropolitan Recording artist named Sebastian that cranked up some dope tracks like "Santa Li", "Losing Control" and "Every Night". I LOVED all his songs & own every one of his 12" singles. Is he still out there somewhere??? Someone hook a nig.. up with the 411!!!
 
Sebastian is no longer recording, i found this out from an inside source. As for micmac I heard that they started cheating the artists out of what they were entitled too and basically after all their major breadwinners dropped their contracts, the company had no futur. I guess that's what happens when you get greedy. It's too bad cause while freestyle was ruling the clubs, micmac was coming out with the hottest tracks. I guess nothing lasts forever.

Mic mac no longer exist, and as for Sebastian he's doing R&B now. I heard it from Sam Savon, which i know and he hangs ou with Sebastian....😀

AS FAR AS MICMAC'S MUSIC BEING DISCONTINUED, IT'S NOT. LAST TIME I CHECKED FOR MICMAC ON THE WEB, I RAN INTO MICKEY GARCIA'S NEW COMPANY CALLED SOMETHING LIKE TWENTY FIRST CENTURY MUSIC. THERE, I FOUND A SHOPPING SECTION FOR OLD MICMAC MUSIC. CHECK IT OUT.
 
MicMac Records Inc. Is Defunct. No Longer In Buisnes.
Mickey Garcia Is Selling Those Records That Are In His House. But As Far As " Mic Mac Records " Releasing new Stuff And Artists And So Forth? U Will Never See That Happening Again.
The Only 2 Labels That I Can Think Of From Back In The Day That Were Independant Labels And Still Alive? CUTTING Records And Metropolitan. High Power Doesn't Count Cuz Tony Is Hanging On By A String.
 
High Power, Funky melody and other labels that Toni had to do with are all a joke. Not because of the artist, but the owner and management.. I'm just sorry i had to find this out on my own..
 
Sebastian singing R&B?!?!?!? I gotta hear that nig...!

Anyone know where I can hook up with those tunes let me know! I know its no replacement for the Freestyle tunes he sang, but I'm curious.

MicMac & Sebastian

I was told that MicMac was cheating the artists of their share of money so alot of them didn't fulfill their contracts. Sebastian is no longer recording. I haven't heard anything about him singing R&B. I would be the first to know. Sebastian would like to get back into his singing. He still has the vocals. I Love his music too!
