what happened to love songs????

okay....first question is..why did so many old or currently so many freestyle songs... deal with one underlying theme? basically that love sucks!!!..lol what i mean is that most freestyle while i love it to death..is always like *she broke my heart*..*she played me* my heart is broken* *im cryin over this one* *i lost that one* * hes with another girl* shes with another man*..all that negative shit made it seem cool as long as you had that deep freestyle beat on a backtrack..lol.. then what ever happened to real love songs..ones that make you stop and say DAMN i feel that...very few modern artist get me to the point where i stop like thta and close my eyes and say DAMN been there..or oh shit there singing about me!!
the reason i really got thinking about this since yesterday is because i happen to be watching KINGS OF COMEDY with Steve Harvey...and part of his show was just that, the comparison of modern day bullshit..such as all the teeny boppers..and the gangsta rappers... and then playing some old school..like teddy pendergrss or luther vandros....and one song he bought up was Lenny Williams "because I Love you"...i only heard a piece of it on the show..but afterwards i downloaded that song and i was like WOW!!! that is a love song... listened to it over and over...man i was floored.....and then i finished off before going to bed wondering why cant anybody create like that now?? i mean there are a few out now like genuwine "differences" or usher "you got it bad" but still you listen to some old school songs and you really feel that heart behind it...that WOW... when was the last time you heard a new freestyle song make you say..WOW?🙂

Also...Alot of The Old Skool Songs Were Story Songs...Alot Fail To Understand That And See Why They Were So Good.
They Weren't The Typical Mushy Songs...But They Were Songs That Once U Heard The First Verse U Had To Keep Listening Till U Heard It All Through.

see that part of what im talking about...i think that all though i like "dirty" once in a while...I perfer..the romance...I dont know ..its just me..alot of people say that im unusal because im like thta but oh well...but take salsa for example...maaann the passion and romance thats in our music...without having to be blunt and coming out with straight up sexual innuendos ..just..youre like thats a love song..thats a song i would love to play or even sing for my baby..because sometimes i dont know the words to say and this song says it all... I think too many of todays songs have enough raw sex in them to the point of being cheesy..now dont get me wrong im not a born again or anything..im actually quite bad sometimes..but just enjoy some nice romantic songs in order to get to that next level..its like that seduction....its alot more creativeity to make a beautiful love song..then just a straight up..*girl let me take those off so that we can get off* type of song know what I mean?
