Ok guys, what would be the weirdest food you've ever eaten?

Mine would have to be the "cuy" which some people know is roasted guinea pig. It's one of the national dishes of Ecuador, since guinea pigs were originally and are still breeded and raised in the Andes to eat and not as pets. I guess it was just weird eating something I once had as a pet.

I'm Ecuadorian and N-E-V-E-R ate Cuy!!!! :barf Are you ecuadorian?

I'm not Ecuadorian, but my man is. His mom sends us a couple of cuys now and then. Roasted, they're around the size of cornish game hens... but don't be fooled. When his mom sends it, she loads it with salt to keep it fresher. When we go into Queens, he likes to eat at a few of the restaurants on Roosevelt, and he'll often get the bandera cause they'll put some fresh cuy in it. OMG, it's like his favorite food and I told him not to even expect me to cook it for him. Unfornately, I've tried the rabbit too and it wasn't that bad.
Where in Ecuador is your family from myonlysweetie? Mi novio's from Giron, near Cuenca in the sierra.
