After eight WCYC Reunion events at the Club formerly known as the Prime and Tender Nightclub, Majic Juan Suarez and Xavier are bringing the brand back to the city limits this Friday, July 23rd (sorry for the short notice). David Torres of Nice & Wild and Mic Mac fame will headline the return of WCYC to the southside of Chicago at Xavier's Club, located at 4500 South Western Avenue...
Now I haven't been to the new Club, but I've heard good things about it. It's in the Brighton Park area of Chicago-which was smack dab in the middle of WCYC territory in the 80's and 90's (we all know that Little Village was the epicenter).
This show requires proper attire and ages 21 and over will be admitted. 10 bucks will get you in, but print out this post and you'll receive a discount of at least a couple of dollars as my "guest". E-me privately and I'll list you as a WLUW winner...call me (if you know me) and I can list you as well. It's Wednesday evening, so let me know ASAP.
The success of this show will determine whether or not we take the rest of the summer off...there WILL be a major event planned for WCYC Reunion X, which will also serve as the One Year Anniversary of the rebirth of the mighty 90.5 FM, WCYC.
