Coalition of Musicians Makes Way to Battleground States in an Effort to Get
Out the Vote this Fall.

More than 20 artists, including Dave Matthews Band, the Dixie Chicks,
Pearl Jam, R.E.M., Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, and John
Mellencamp announced today the launch of the "Vote for Change" Tour, which
will kickoff on October 1st and bring its Vote for Change message to 9 of the
17 key electoral battleground states. Conceived by a loose coalition of
musicians four months ago, Vote for Change is a multi-city, multi-artist tour
that will include approximately 34 shows in 28 cities in 9 states over the
course of one week. It is being presented by MoveOn PAC to benefit America
Coming Together (ACT.) All Vote for Change artists are donating their time
and talent in support of the tour.

What's Kerry gonna do for the country that's better than what Bush is doing?

Unfortunately Krys, most elections these days come down to "who will screw up less?" instead of "who is better for us?"

I have my own reasons to want Bush out. He wants to amend the constitution to discriminate against a segment of society.

Mmhmm I know, but what makes you think Kerry's not gonna do the same thing? :idea

ALL politicians talk a good game to get IN TO office but once they are there...it's the same damn thing.

Stick with the evil you know as opposed to the evil you don't! :lol

Kerry has publicly said he opposes a Constitutional amendment. Bush is pushing for one.

To me, big difference.

Yeah but like I said...ALL Politicians tell you what you want to hear and then when they get into office...its a TOTALLY different story.

Krys let's say ur in a casino playing blackjack and u know the dealer has blackjack (we already know bush is a crook) but there's a second dealer which we don't know the cards..... you're sayin you'd play against the first dealer?!?!?!?!?!?!

Not saying I'm 100% thrilled with Kerry, but I'm pretty much a hard core Democrat, and well I didn't vote for Bush 4 years ago, not going to do it now. I definitely want him out. I know times and circumstances are very different, but there was a change when the first Bush was ousted and Clinton took over, so I'm hoping for the same outcome this time around.
