If someone has a terrible voice... Can they
be trained to have a better singing voice?

OR.. Do you need something good to start with then
you fine tune it?
 
We were all blessed with speech (vocals)...if you can learn how to play the piano, you can also learn how to sing. You have to try all types of music to see which one fits your range, either you being a soprano, alto, base, tenor. If you find a great teacher that can show you the basics and importantly breathing techinques you will be set. But never get discouraged if you think you have a terrible voice, there is always a way to better your skills. Practice makes perfect, just a lil effort and you're on your way to a better "Singing" voice.

Hola. That's is true. I agree with Sweetgirl 100%. There are a few here and there that just don't have the ear for it. But if you train for a long duration of time, then you can become great.It requires a lot of patience from the teacher and student though because a lot of people think it happens overnight.

I used to have a bad voice...that was until I smoked a bottle of crack! I swear peeps thought I was N.V. and I was like "Listen Im not N.V." Im "pee-pee" :crap j/k

Seriously though the throat is a muscle and you have to work it.

I trained myself to do Beavis & Butthead and I achieved it in like 5 months 😀 Same applies to vantrilquists? They train their voices. Impersonators also.

P.S: By they way...I sing in the shower and it sounds lovely...that echo effect...makes my voice much nicer. I figure if girls really want to hear me sing...they have to be in my bathroom. 😛 Nothing wrong with that 😉 hehehehe
 
LMAO! You guys are nutso!

Oh and by the way, an extra pack of cigs is only give your voice a deep throaty affect. And that's not always a good thing! I can't sing to begin with and the "throaty" affect didn't help matter any, so much for that theory!
