I'm standing on the edge of insanity,
as i realize i'm a victim of my own vanity,
stuck inside a material world,
worshipping my looks just for the girls,
all my life im told,
i was handsome and bold,
so i grew up like vines,
no direction and truth,
because im too greatful of my design,
im vunerable to thunderbolts from Zeus,
yet i try to humble myself,
but my arrogance exceeds,
like a gambler with great wealth,
i want more than i need,
and therefore my peers,
label me as an a*****e,
those words pierced like spears,
and left my pride shaken and rattled,
so now i must learn,
to keep my mouth shut at times,
so i can let others have their turn,
but i'll still speak out loud in rhymes,
to those who can relate,
i ask u to stand with me,
against those who hate,
cuz we're all prisoners of our Vanity...
