I cried myself to sleep last night,
And asked God why
All I want is to be held tight.
And as I fell to sleep
Tears streaming down my face,
I dreamt a dream
Where I was in another place.
Where there were mo more tears
No more lies
No more sad filled goodbyes.
And I smiled as I dreamt this dream
Wondering why here I couldn’t yet be.
And I asked God
Why so much hurt and so many lies.
Why cant I be happy,
Just once I would like
To see the sunrise through my eye’s
And not through those
Who’ve told the tail
Of a beautiful sunrise.
So once again my tears began to fall,
Till I was out of breathe
And to him I couldn’t call.
I awoke with such sadness
Alone in my room
To face another day of madness.
Wondering to myself what should I do.
But I look forward to my dream tonight
To lay in bed and close my eye’s
To dream another dream
Of another place another time
