I wrote this poem in 1998 when I was dating this guy.
All of my life I've acted strong
All of my life I've put on an act
Not once did they think that they are wrong
I hoped and pray the right one will come
I hoped and pray he won't break my heart
For GOD only knows this is all that I want
Your muscled body portrays a tuff guy
Your voice sounds like thunder
And when we are apart my world wants to crumble
Nothing else matters when we are together
All I want is for you to love me forever
I knew when we met you'd break my heart
I knew when we kissed we'd be split apart
I asked why can't I turn away from this good looking guy
The one who possesed me, the one with the honey colored eyes
You say you miss me, You say you love me
Yet we both know these are just words
That one day it will all be a blur
I only hear these words when you have a couple of Ice Teas
When the rush is gone so is your love for me
And when I'm home waiting for you to call
Reality hits and tells me I'm going to fall
I tell you this is killing me
And you don't want to listen
Today I wonder what is the reason
I told myself to take it easy
I told myself you won't be mine
Now it's confirmed, today you are someone else's guy
You've broken my heart and You don't even care
How can I tell you to go and dare
Give me a chance to fight for our love,
To share the good things even the bad
When things are ruff
All that I offer is my everlasting love
I beg of you, If you really don't want me
then why don't you leave
This should be easy, NOTHING BUT A BREEZE
