Where I should have stayed but you shined like gold
Changing my mind and inviting me out to the light
Convincing me you're a different kind of guy
Not knowing it was just like a moth to a flame
Soon you'd be revealing it was nothing but a game

Burning so deep into my soul
Where I'd loose all my control
Wishing I'd never let you in my life
Allowing you to change my mind
The end result is the same
You came, you played, and all along it was nothing but a game

I was willing to learn about your world
Last night I found out you're not interested in this girl
I wanted you to know who I am and what makes me tick
You simply answered "I'm not looking for a serious relationship"

I shall continue facing the world with my head held high
Cuz you and I both know I did nothing wrong to hide
My dignity is still intact
You wished you could've changed that
My morals are old and unique
You'll never find another one so sweet
I have self respect
I'm different from the rest
