We may not have promised not to fall in love,
but it was a promise I made.
At least to myself.
Not saying its not possible,
just can't take another heartbreak.
We've grown closer
as each day goes by,
my feelings as well have grown.
Now I'm afraid of you not feeling
the same way I do.
I dream of the day
I reveal my true feelings,
but my big fear is I'll be crushed.
What if someone acts before I do?
You'll be in a commitment,
and I'll be left all alone.
Thinking about all we've shared,
as well as learned.
I don't want to imagine you
not part of my life in some way.
That thought alone
makes tears want to fall from my eyes.
