I was just curious....

Tony Moran is going to be the guest DJ @ Avalon on January 11th here in Boston. Has anyone been to one of his DJ set's? And if so, should I be expecting some Freestyle?

Avalon is predominantly a Gay club, and numerous House and Tribal DJ's such as Connie Casserole and Paul Oakenfold have spinned there.

So, back to my original question- Do you think he's gonna mix up some Freestyle in his set? :nahnah :nahnah :nahnah
 
I dont know, i think he has a couple club songs too... Who cares hes freekin geourgeous!!!!
 
I don't think so cuz ummmmmm he's @ a whole new level these days & deals with big mainstream acts, celine dion, aretha franklin, micheal jackson. & plus he charges bout 30 to 50 thousand dollars per remix prob a slight less if he's just gonna produce a track.

Oh for real? That's good to know. I think he'll hook it up. A DJ always goes back to his roots. Plus, as genius as that dude is, I'm sure he's figured out a way to collaborate House and Freestyle.

He produced Kevin Aviance's (Give It Up) newest cd, and in the liner notes Kevin says:

"Thank you for your technological guidance. I still don't understand why you wouldn't let me do a freestyle record on this album."

I think he's trying to move away from freestyle.

I remember you posting something about that, Chuck. Maybe I should stick to my original plans then and chill with my girls, instead. Then again, it's Tony M. in Boston! Ahhhh......we'll see.
 
His main music goal are Dance/House music, not Freestyle music anymore.

I don't think he will play Freestyle during his set.

But hey, Tony Moran, is a very talented person. So, if you have the opportunity to see him playing music as a DJ at this club, well, if I were you, I WILL GO AND SPEND THE NIGHT AT THIS CLUB...even if he won't spinn Freestyle during that night. 😉

Just a personal thought anyway... 😉

nahh you can forget about Tony spinnin' freestyle in his set,
he now caters to the gay ciruit house scene. i been to a few of
his "house music" parties and i never heard him spin freestyle.
either way he was slammin', so you should still check him out.
i been supporting this guy since the 80's and i still give him mad props
for taking it to the next level. the boyz in the house scene love him, they been
following him for a bit now. mad luv to TONY

TONY MORAN, LIL LOUIE ARE AT INTERNATIONAL LEVELS OF PRODUCING AND RECOGNITION..HOUSE MUSIC IS WHERE THEY AT NOW..AND HAVE BEEN FOR QUITE A WHILE..WHO KNOWS CARLITO..HE MAY SURPRISE U WITH A FREESTYLE TRACK OR TWO.. :biggrin

Marlon is right, he usually does only Dance-House stuff in his sets these days at da clubs, ...I went when he was spinning down here once. - NO Freestyle.
But it's still good to hear/see him.

The only way I could see him spinning Freestyle is if he is the guest DJ at a big Freestyle concert/party.

CarLito, I think I performed at Avalon once, or was it Axis??
I honestly dont friggin' remember - lol, but it was a nice club & it started with an "A".

Harmonica Sunbeam & T-Pro will be here again I beleive this week or next.🙂
 
Yo, I didn't even go. Hah...

I just wanted to chill @ home Sunday.

I was so tired from the weekend, that after I got home from brunch with the fam, my ass passed out and I woke up at like 9 p.m. and going out wasn't even on my mind!

Company B- Avalon and Axis are both connected, if you can tell me what night you performed I can pinpoint it! My money's on Axis. 🙂

DiamondGirl- No, I didn't go. LOL.
