After several years of disgust I've decided to send these emails to anybody that I can get a hold of in Clear Channel...
Somebody needs to explain to me why Philadelphia needs 3 stations that play hip-hop, I believe that Power 99 is owned by Clear Channel, and I have no problem with that station as it has always been hip-hop, my problem is with Q102, that was a station, that at one time was a power house of true dance music for this country, but now has been turned into just another station that plays hip-hop... Even now the changes are getting worse... at one time at least the mix shows on Q contained dance, now it's all hip-hop, almost all the time. What makes this even sader is the fact that 96.5, which I believe is not owned by Clear Channel, has to be cutting into the ratings of Q.
What's really funny is that an entire market of people that listen to dance music are being ignored, I have a feeling that you will be losing alot of listeners soon to Satellite Radio, i just used a trial for both XM and Sirius and I have to say it appears to be well worth the cost, to tell you the truth I can't decide between the two, alot of other people will realize the benifits in time, and I'm sure rating will drop even more.
I'd love to hear a response,
Jeremy
