I have tried to find the name of the artist/song endlessly, but to no avail.

The song was very popular on Power 96, and was only played on that station. (Or so I think) Also it has a beat similar to the beginning of Cynthia's never thought I'd let you go(original mix) but she doesn't sound like Cynthia.
