Is it just me or have you noticed the freestyle in the air this year? more release dates , shows , and Im hearing it more on the streets!! Clubs are starting to spin it more, aolot of new artists still in the studio making stuff for late 2004 as well! I think 2004 will be a great year for freestyle!!!

I hear ya Megratron , Living in the Bay Area..... I hear it more , at some clubs , and especially at noon on KYLD 94.9 and some college radio stations. To me freestyle music is like the stock market, it goes up and it comes down, meaning it has its come backs and then it has a moments where it silences it self. The problem that I see , especially swap meets (Flea Market), is some of these unknown mixer which mix lots of these freestyle songs, and sells it on tape, and kills the delivery of Royalites that is due to the artist. Well not me, I'm investing my entire savings and blood sweat and tears on this upcoming project I'm working on. To me freestyle wil never died, because it strong in my heart. I give respect to all artists/producers/etc... out here giving it all thier best. Lets invest in these artists and give credit where credit is due.

A new booty...
Tony

Wow i cant believe we cant all be positive about something. I'm tired of the "Negative" remarks that shoot down peoples hopes. We cant and wont give up. You never know. I hope it does blow up to stop those negative remarks already. I will keep the faith. Just do music people. dont label it. We know its freestyle but radio doesnt have to know. Good luck to all the artists trying.... Lets keep it going.....

Freestyle is in my heart, so therefore it isnt dead nor will it ever die!!!
You'd be amazed at how many ppl I have been meeting that say "its still around" ...
they don't know b/c its not put out there .... with all the members here that don't think negative about it .... it should and would be heard! Look at the stats that DJ Paradise posted, his list of listeners is world wide!!!!! If it lives in ya and you spread the word, it will ALWAYS be around.

This is the year for the Return of Freestyle. All ready in NY and AC the clubs are having more freestyle shows. Party 105 FM in Long Island is testing the waters to play new school freestyle. New releases by Lissette Melendez, Nyasia and Safire (dont know the female vocal yet) and Judy Torres full lenght cd is going to be slamming. Already we have the great Coro Blowing up the airwaves of 2 major NYC stations. What we need is for the people to stop being negative and instead funnel that energy into going to freestyle shows and other ways of supporting the genre of music.
