I just read somewhere that at the time the video for Corina's Whispers came out, it was considered big budget. Has anyone seen this video? It's always been a favorite Freestyle track of mine and I can't wait until I find this video.
 
The video looks like it was shot outside the U.S. & set in france, with the actors wearing white wigs, riding horses & coach. Very similar to Madonna's Mtv music video performance of Vogue back in the early 90's. Corina does a great dance routine during the instrumental break.

hey droop!

that video was phat.
it was based and influenced with the barouque period in france.
(that period before napolean came and choped off everyones head for being of higher class and nobility).

it was the whole rondevoeu (i probably spelled that wrong, where is "frenchy" when you need him...francis T.) theme.
Even listening to the lyrics...."there was a love, once apon a time..a fairy tail..."etc.
and that time period in france was very romantic,castels, kings princess, etc all that fairy tale stuff.
the song was basically talking about someone also tricking,cheating. and in that period......people always tricked around behind each others back. they all played around like players, yet still held their respected status of fairy tale nobility.so the setting was perfect.



the video also diplayed that new skool way of dress at the moment.
hats, combat boots(doc martins etc), early 90s street and club gear.
Corina definetley re-invented herself at that period. before her new school productions, many outside of freestyle really didnt know who she was.

same with lissete melendez. they both hooked up with carlos berrios and that team and re-invented the whole look. made it trendy and in style agian. borrowed from the clubs and streets of that time and incorporated that into freestyle . and everything from the sound to the fashion, to the etc...was all reflected and it was awsome.

becouse of this, the record companies invested, and when they invest..thats when you get high budget videos.

at that time.. it was my favorite video along side lissete melendez's "a day in my life" and cover girls "Wishing on a star" video.

I remember the first time i saw the whispers video. it was on fox 5 (i believe) on new years eve of 1992( i believe..lol)
very nice video..was also one of my favorites back then along with "a day in my life"
 
Yeah i got the video for whispers and it is a good video...WAY better then the video she did for temptation! has anyone see that video? thats a budget video...its a hot song, and at least it has a video but its budget! i alos just got the extended club mix george lamond look into my eyes video,,,pretty hot...lots of dancing
